Role Description
Join Fewton as a Sales Executive and contribute to a fast-growing, remote-first climate tech company that's equipping organisations with the insights and ecosystem they need to engage critically with sustainability. As a crucial member of our team, you'll help optimise the success of our global sales efforts by managing sales goals, projections, and processes. The Sales Executive will be responsible for identifying sales leads, pitching products and/or services, and closing deals.
Responsibilities
Sales Strategy
- Develop and execute an enterprise sales strategy that is aligned with company-wide strategic goals and with key internal functions such as Marketing and Product
- Design and implement internal sales processes and deal management best practices
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities amongst peer carbon accounting and ESG software firms to inform sales approaches and identify sales opportunities
Lead Generation + Sales Operations
- Develop and implement strategies for outbound sales campaigns and lead sourcing for our global sales team, leveraging internal databases and external sources including Pitchbook, and LinkedIn.
- Manage the entire sales cycle from qualified leads through to paying customers
- Conduct introductory calls for initial demos and qualification of sales prospects
Reporting and Analytics
- Effectively create and manage a forecast of sales opportunities, while tracking and using critical metrics that reliably predict sales success
- Implement and manage reporting mechanisms within HubSpot and Asana to track key sales metrics and performance indicators.
Sales Team Support:
- Research and assist with program development for existing clients and new prospects
- Oversee email campaigns in LinkedIn Sales Navigator with other sales team members globally
- Collaborate with the sales team to understand their needs and challenges via ad hoc technical/strategic support as well as recurring one-on-one and group check-ins.
Cross-Organisational Collaboration
- Foster communication lines between sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure a cohesive and effective go-to-market strategy
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record in selling SaaS B2B products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a relentless focus on data and client success.
- Clear passion for the environment, eye for impact, and enthusiasm to positively shape Green Project's climate management practices
- High adaptability and willingness to learn in a fast-paced, independent startup environment
- Excellent communication skills - comfort describing your work at varying levels of sophistication, i.e., concisely articulating technical instruction, managing and balancing competing opinions, and right-sizing conversations with prospects to their ESG education and communication style.
- Proven ability to conduct independent research, thoughtfully solve problems and continue to expand your knowledge base
- Excitement for and comfort with collaboration – demonstrated ability to work well with others to manage time and team capacity
- Experience growing and building internal processes for scaling a sales team
- Strong Excel skills
- Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot and Asana is a plus
- Experience at a SaaS-based environmental or sustainability data management provider is a plus
- Sales experience in private equity or supplier relations is a plus
