Finance Associate

Our client is a leading clean energy firm. In total, the company has acquired or developed tens of gigawatts of renewable energy & energy storage systems.

Role Overview

Our client seeks a Finance Associate to support with raising capital to ensure sufficient funding of the company’s expansion. The successful candidate will be able to work collaboratively with various teams, including finance, development & accounting. The Finance Associate will help with determining the company’s financial needs, develop relationships with providers of capital, as well as structure & execute new capital raises.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work cohesively with the development team to understand risks
• Provide complicated financial modeling
• Assess value of company
• Propose new funding strategies
• Support with executing transactions
• Develop & maintain relationships with a range of third parties
• Maintain a strong understanding of market trends

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Familiarity with federal & state regulatory business models is preferable
• Experience in the energy sector as well as in investing or raising capital is required
• Strong track record in transactions
• Energy industry-specific knowledge of risk mitigation tactics
• Ability to excel while working on a number of projects simultaneously
• Understanding of project finance
• Exceptional analytical & research skills
• Passionate about clean energy
