In this role, you will be the creative force behind Aurora’s design expression. You are a big picture thinker and a talented storyteller. You embody the power of visualization and thoughtfully highlight design philosophy to inspire the development of compelling concepts. A human-centered designer and a critical thinker, you employ a solid creative process to evolve our brand design. What you'll do:
Support the overall efforts of the creative team by delivering innovative projects with solid, articulated creative strategy
Guide a team of multidisciplinary creatives like writers, illustrators, filmmakers, motion designers, and visual and graphic designers
You will light the path of possibilities with a clearly defined strategy and constraints.
You will work closely with the brand director, marketers, and researchers to define the character and soul of the Aurora brand
Through employing a cross-functional approach, you will craft and uphold brand-relevant visual strategies across all touchpoints
Embodying brand principles, you will shape and evolve our design systems (brand & UI) with the evolving brand strategy
Drive adoption, and inspire expansion of the creative toolkit, while maintaining its unique identity
Coach and advocate for your team. Inform and guide the work of designers by providing clear, actionable direction and feedback
Advocate for diverse representation in the output as well as participation. You have previous experience of designing for accessibility
You will maintain, translate and extend the brand equities' look and feel. Archive, protect, and share creative brand identity and style guidelines as appropriate
Establish and uphold quality by clearly defining what that means, while valuing delivery over perfection
Identify processes, teams, and organization strategies across functions to run your team and meet goals
You will coach, mentor, and actively support your team in achieving their career and learning goals
Establish your team’s growth and evolution within the organization

You hold creative excellence with humility. You are someone who can work across teams and considers feedback as a gift
Demonstrated experience in managing design operations and processes effectively. A proven experience in hiring, managing, and leading design teams
Good at craft and cares about detailed execution. A high-quality portfolio that illustrates your visual, interaction, creative director, and design leadership skills
