Essential Duties:
 
· Educate architects and engineers on the importance of embodied carbon, performance simulations, and data driven design.
· Show teams how cove.tool is a partner through webinars, online demos and more.
· Research how to simulate materials and technologies and develop ways to integrate with building product manufacturers.
· Work on and lead new feature development within cove.tool within an AGILE software environment.
· Do cutting-edge research and implement data driven workflows across the industry.
· Respond to questions from architects and engineers and communicate the vision.
· Publish and curate articles, posts, and media for architects and engineers.
 
Required Skills - Apply if you meet 7 out of 10 of the items on the list.
 
· 5+ years of experience in building sustainability or architecture required. Case studies where you applied sustainable thinking to an architecture problem are highly desirable especially in a professional setting. Show us what you got!
· Master’s degree in architecture, sustainability, environmental science, or an equivalent combination of other studies required.
· Be a nice friendly person who cares about doing good for the world.
· Graphic skills are highly important (you will be working with architects)
· Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well. Writing is a part of changing someone’s mind.
· Ability to multi-task, we are doing lots of cool things and you need to be flexible!
· Curious, insightful, engaged, determined to make a difference.
· Sustainability professional certifications (such as LEED, WELL), preferred but not required.
· Proficient in use of design software, such as Revit, Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Basically, be tech savvy.

Architecture Researcher III

Operations Manager, Sales and Marketing

Key job responsibilities

<li>Manage all company-wide financial and strategic planning (P&amp;Ls, budgets, forecasts, long-range planning, projections, etc.)</li>
<li>Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual FP&amp;A processes including variance analysis</li>
<li>Partner with CEO and key stakeholders on forecasting, and scenario planning</li>
<li>Partner with CEO  to drive key strategic and financial analyses to support high-impact decisions (e.g., unit economics, product expansion, headcount planning, etc.)</li>
<li>Department budgeting / cross-functional work with department teams for budgeting and monthly variance analysis reporting</li>
<li>Prepare and deliver monthly financial business reviews to the leadership team and external stakeholders (Board, Investors, etc.)</li>
</ul>

<li>Managing Accounts Payable &amp; Accounts Receivable</li>
<li>Oversee external firms (accounting/tax/audit) and ensure accuracy and timeliness of the monthly accounting close process.</li>

<li>Communicate and present our financial results to relevant audiences including company updates, investor updates, board updates and materials</li>
<li>Influence and drive end-to-end process streamlining and standardization based on industry leading best practices</li>

Qualifications

<li>At least seven years of relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance</li>
</ul>

<li>Master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or professional accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) or related preferred.</li>
<li>Advanced spreadsheet skills.</li>
<li>Experience with Quickbooks.</li>
<li>SaaS-specific KPI experience</li>
<li>Experienced in developing and presenting business plans, models, and financial forecasts to management and the investment community</li>
<li>Deep understanding of financial modeling with a strong understanding of GAAP</li>
<li>Ability and desire to function at high-levels of business strategy but also willing to dive into the weeds and operate hands-on</li>
<li>Self-starter with the ability to quickly respond to problems independently</li>
