We believe in developing practical approaches to solving the climate crisis.</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:14pt;">The Role</span></div><div><br></div><div><span style="font-size:11pt;">Travertine seeks a highly motivated Environment, Health &amp; Safety Manager to lead efforts in developing world-class EHS programs that safeguards Travertine’s employees, assets and community.  This role will join the safety team to support our ongoing initiative to cultivate a robust safety culture within a dynamic startup environment. We are seeking a professional with deep expertise in data-driven occupational exposure analysis and best safety practices in chemical research and manufacturing. This individual will contribute to the safety team's efforts in developing and enhancing a program that upholds the highest safety standards in a rapidly evolving company. </span></div><br><br><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Support and enforce compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and other applicable safety regulations.</li><li>Perform hazard and exposure analysis via exposure monitoring, sampling and data modeling to inform risk management controls.</li><li>Audit and expand the Travertine HSE program with the Safety team and consultants to ensure alignment with company initiatives. </li><li>Work with operations and engineering teams to execute on a rigorous Process Safety Management framework.</li><li>Conduct routine safety audits, hazard assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), pre-startup safety reviews, management of changes (MOCs) and other risk management procedures.</li><li>Review internal risk assessments and standard operating procedures of new/modified processes to ensure operations are conducted with best chemical and industrial hygiene practices.</li><li>Lead or support incident investigations, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and track corrective actions to closure.</li><li>Provide on-site support at both Colorado and New York locations. </li><li>Other duties as assigned to support the Safety Team.</li></ul><h3>Required Qualifications</h3><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or Public Health required. This role involves close collaboration with other operators, engineers, and the R&amp;D team to maintain steady operation while acquiring the critical data needed to verify carbon dioxide removal and inform the commercial design. Tasks will include equipment operation and maintenance, solution preparation, sample collection, sample analysis, waste neutralization and disposal, and other tasks as needed. Ability to troubleshoot process equipment and process issues is critical for this role.
