Our platform connects electric fleets, chargers, batteries, generators, and grid signals into a unified interface that empowers our customers to control energy intelligently, optimize cost, and support grid reliability.Our edge product, SynopLink, manages energy assets on-site — even through connectivity outages — and coordinates local devices to comprehensively manage power at customer sites. Every SynopLink deployment is a real-world project: site surveys, network design decisions, hardware logistics, electricians, vendors, and customer stakeholders who need clear answers. We're looking for the person who makes those projects run — someone with enough technical depth to ask the right questions and enough organizational discipline to make sure nothing falls through the cracks.<h2>About You</h2><ul><li>You have:<ul><li>4+ years in technical project management, or solutions engineering with a customer-facing role — ideally involving physical hardware at customer sites.</li><li>Experience at small startups and with distributed teams</li></ul></li><li>You are:<ul><li>Technically conversant in the domains our deployments touch: site networking (fiber vs. Ethernet vs. Wi-Fi or cellular hotspots, cable runs), electrical infrastructure and metering, and enough energy fluency to ask intelligent questions about a site's loads, capacity, and use cases.</li><li>Comfortable in conversations with customer project managers, electricians, hardware vendors, and our own engineers — triaging asks with credible, intelligent answers rather than simply relaying everything; and politely but persistently chasing down missing information to unblock projects.</li><li>Highly organized: you turn scattered emails, calls, and site visits into consistent, consolidated project records with clear requirements, owners, and timelines.</li><li>Proficient in building AI agent skills, and comfortable connecting tools and automating the tedious parts of your workflows, to scale yourself and your impact. You can easily make yourself 3x as productive as anyone in 2023.</li></ul></li><li>Bonus: exposure to EV charging, energy storage, solar, building electrical systems, or telecom/ISP installation work; familiarity with protocols like Modbus or OCPP at a conversational level.</li></ul><h2>What You'll Be Doing</h2><ul><li>Own project requirements for every SynopLink deployment, from site qualification through commissioning handoff.</li><li>Ask the right energy questions about each site — loads, metering, capacity, intended use cases— and translate the answers into concrete technical requirements: cable runs, fiber vs. Ethernet vs. Wi-Fi hotspots, metering needs, and hardware bills of materials.</li><li>Identify what software development work each project needs — an integration we do or don't have, custom logic we don't support yet — and get it scoped and scheduled with engineering before it becomes a site-visit surprise.</li><li>Be the remote support point during installs: on the phone or on standby with electricians and field techs, verifying connectivity and troubleshooting. Pulling in engineering only when it's genuinely an engineering problem.</li><li>Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customer project managers and vendor counterparts — triaging asks, giving intelligent answers, and bugging customers for missing information until projects are unblocked.</li></ul>

SynopLink's fleet is growing fast, and we're looking for the engineer who will lead it through its next order of magnitude: someone with the technical depth to operate a large, distributed fleet of devices managing energy systems around the world, and the product sense to decide what we build so customers onboard quickly, issues get resolved fast, and the platform scales gracefully to hundreds and thousands of units.<h2>About You</h2><ul><li>You have:</li></ul><ul><li>5+ years of software engineering experience, including significant time on IoT, edge, or device-fleet products — and experience setting product direction for a platform, not just building against someone else's spec.</li><li>Experience operating a real device fleet in production: provisioning, OTA updates, remote diagnostics, observability, and the failure modes of hardware in the field.</li><li>Experience at small startups and with distributed teams.</li></ul><ul><li>You are:</li></ul><ul><li>An IC lead, operating beyond the classic senior-engineer scope: you own product direction and technical decisions, and you bring the team along with you.</li><li>Product-minded: you talk to customers and CS, find the friction, and decide what to build — then build it.</li><li>AI-forward – proficient in building with AI, meaning building &amp; improving the harness, documentation, systems, and AI agent skills to get large bodies of work built and validated autonomously. Feature development powered by AI and directed/driven/orchestrated by you; scaling yourself and your impact. You can easily make yourself 3x as productive as anyone in 2023.</li><li>A force multiplier: you'd rather build the tool that makes ten deployments easy than heroically finish one.</li><li>Strong in Python and comfortable across the stack (edge services, cloud infra, internal tools); working knowledge of AWS IoT/Greengrass, MQTT, and industrial protocols like Modbus and OCPP.</li></ul><ul><li>Bonus: background in energy systems, EMS/BMS/SCADA, or EV charging; experience commissioning hardware in the field.</li></ul><h2>What You'll Be Doing</h2><ul><li>Own product &amp; technical direction for SynopLink: the roadmap, priorities, and technical decisions behind operating our edge platform successfully at scale.</li><li>Lead the scale-up of the SynopLink fleet from a technical perspective — the architecture, tooling, and operational practices that take us from dozens of devices to hundreds and thousands.</li><li>Make customer onboarding and troubleshooting fast and repeatable — provisioning, site-qualification tooling, and commissioning flows that get customers live quickly.</li><li>Build the software to run and operate a large, robust global fleet of IoT devices managing energy systems — the edge software itself, plus the tooling that keeps it operable at scale: observability, OTA updates, fleet dashboards, and remote diagnostics that let our CS and engineering teams resolve customer issues in minutes.</li><li>Work with other members of the engineering team and directly with our heads of product &amp; engineering, to achieve these goals.</li></ul>
