Transforming air into water for reliable, climate-resilient supply.

The RoleAquaria's sales, operations, and customer success teams run on internal tools we build in-house, connected to the SaaS platforms they use every day. We're hiring a technical lead to own them: the tools, the integrations behind them, the data that flows through them, and the developers who build them. You'll partner with leaders across the company to decide what to build, write code every week, and be accountable for whether these systems actually help the business run. About AquariaAquaria builds machines that make clean drinking water from air. Our mission is to safeguard and unlock a sustainable future for clean water. We're backed by investors including Mistletoe, Soma Capital, Bow Capital, Ciri Ventures, HF0, and former House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt. Our technology was selected among TIME's Best Inventions of 2024 and received an Honorable Mention for Developing-World Technology in Fast Company's 2023 World Changing Ideas Awards. Learn more at www.aquaria.world. What You'll Do• Partner with sales, operations, customer success, and RevOps to set priorities and turn their needs into a clear roadmap• Build and maintain the internal tools these teams rely on every day, and drive adoption so the tools become how the work gets done• Build and maintain the integrations and data pipelines that connect our SaaS tools, such as our CRM, phone, e-signature, and field service apps, and keep that data accurate and in sync• Establish a single source of truth for core business data, such as customers, deals, installations, and payments• Lead the developers on your team: scope the work, keep them unblocked, review their code, and hold a high bar for what ships• Make build-versus-buy decisions, and manage the SaaS vendors and consultants behind our stack• Own identity and access management across the company's software, including onboarding, offboarding, and credential hygiene• Give teams, and the AI tools they use, secure and governed access to company data• Set up monitoring and alerting for our pipelines and tools, and lead the response when something breaks• Write and maintain documentation and runbooks for the systems you own• Set realistic timelines, deliver against them, and flag risks early How We WorkEveryone at Aquaria, from the founders to our field technicians, uses AI in their daily work. This team builds with AI coding tools, so you should know where they speed you up and where their output needs a closer review. We bias toward shipping: get a working version in front of users early, then iterate. Most weeks keep regular hours, and when a system the team depends on goes down, we fix it the same day.Much of our communication is written and asynchronous. Remote candidates need working hours that overlap with US Central time.RequirementsWhat You Bring• A track record of shipping production software that others relied on, as the primary engineer, including work from the past year• Experience leading other engineers, including contractors: scoping work, reviewing code, and owning the result• Daily, hands-on use of AI-assisted development• Experience building integrations with third-party APIs, and data pipelines with data quality checks• Comfort with relational databases, including writing queries to debug data issues across connected systems• Experience migrating data from spreadsheets and legacy tools into a system of record• Experience with access management and security practices for production systems• Experience deploying, monitoring, and recovering production systems without data loss• Strong written communication, and a track record of working with non-technical stakeholders and vendors You May Be a Good Fit If You• Prefer shipping a working version this week to a perfect one next month• Turn ambiguous requests into a plan, a scope, and a date• Notice problems before anyone reports them, and fix the root cause Bonus PointsExperience with any of the platforms we use:• Data: Supabase, BigQuery, Fivetran• Sales and Communication: HubSpot, Aircall, Salesmsg• Operations and Field: Docusign, CompanyCam Our Values• Challenge the Status Quo: Question assumptions. Fix broken systems. Principles > rules.• Move Fast: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.• Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble. Challenge ideas, including your own.• Own the Outcome: Take full responsibility. Deliver results. No excuses.• Act Like an Owner: Be resourceful, mindful of impact, and committed to the business.• Be Decisive: Drive clarity. Make bold calls with imperfect info.• Bring the Intensity: We're building something hard, and it takes real commitment. To ApplySend us a link to something you built and shipped as the primary engineer. In a few sentences, tell us what it does, who used it, how long it took, and how AI figured into building it, including something it got wrong and how you caught it. If the work isn't public, a description is fine. Then tell us about a time the data or system you inherited was wrong or incomplete. What did you do about it, and how long did it take?Benefits

Equity

Health, dental, and vision insurance

Unlimited PTO

Lead Engineer, Internal Tools & Business Systems

The RoleYou'll report to our Head of Product Strategy & Special Projects and our co-founder and COO, and you'll work directly with them on whatever the company most needs solved that week. You'll work on questions where a better answer can change what the company does next. The problems are unique, they're difficult, and no two days are the same. One week it's a new market that has to exist on paper before it exists on the ground. The next it's a model nobody has built, an ambitious idea that needs a plan before it can become real, or a set of facts scattered across the company that nobody has connected yet. You'll learn fast, question things that sound convincing, and verify the work before anyone acts on it. This role suits someone who is comfortable not knowing the shape of the answer at the start, who gets absorbed in a hard problem, and who wants to see their answer put to work. The role has no fixed scope, and it will change as the company does. What stays constant is the level of the work. These are problems that today sit with the founders and the Head of Product Strategy & Special Projects, and we're looking for one more person who can carry them. How We WorkAquaria's leadership works AI-first. The people who run the company do their own analysis, build their own tools, and write their own documents, with AI doing most of the labor and them doing the judging. You'll work the same way. You'll do the work yourself, with the best AI systems available, and pull in whoever at the company knows the answer when the problem needs it.RequirementsWhat We ValueWe aren't looking for a specific background, and we don't care what you studied. We're looking for analytic ability, technical aptitude, and the habit of noticing the details that turn out to matter. People who do well here reason from evidence and can say exactly which parts of an answer they're sure of. They don't wait to be told what to do. They notice when something is wrong, even outside their field, even when everyone else has accepted it. They've usually built or written things nobody asked them to. And they already use AI for most of their serious work, and know it well enough to catch where it fails. What We Require

Independent projects you started and finished on your own, that you can show us

Daily, serious use of AI systems as your primary way of doing work

Experience producing analysis from raw data and defending the conclusions

Experience writing for an audience, in any form

Our ValuesWe're building a winning culture and we're looking for people who are up for the challenge. Here's what we expect from day one:

Flat Organization: Everyone is expected to speak up, surface risks, and ship solutions.

Challenge the Status Quo: Question assumptions. Fix broken systems. Principles > rules.

Move Fast: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.

Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble. Challenge ideas, including your own.

Own the Outcome: Take full responsibility. Deliver results. No excuses.

Act Like an Owner: Be resourceful, mindful of impact, and committed to the business.

Be Decisive: Drive clarity. Make bold calls with imperfect info.

Bring the Intensity: We're building something hard, and it takes real commitment. The work doesn't always fit inside standard hours.

To ApplySend us two things. A link to something, or a portfolio, you built or wrote on your own, with a description on what it is and how AI figured into it. Show us what ever you are proud of you have built with AI. And a short account of a time you caught something wrong that everyone else had accepted: how you established it was wrong, and what you did about it.

Account Executive - High-Ticket Inbound Sales

About Aquaria
Aquaria is pioneering atmospheric water generation technology — machines that pull clean drinking water from the air. We're on a mission to help customers achieve water independence and combat water scarcity.
Why What We Do Matters
Water scarcity is real. You see it on the news. You are likely directly or indirectly affected by it. Reservoirs are hitting record lows, aquifers are being drained faster than they can recharge, and aging infrastructure is failing communities that once took clean water for granted. Droughts that used to be once-in-a-generation events now arrive with alarming regularity, and the strain isn't limited to remote or arid regions — it's reaching suburbs, farms, and major cities alike. Municipal systems are stretched thin, contamination scares are becoming routine, and the cost of water is climbing even as its reliability falls. This isn't a distant, someday problem — it's here, and it's accelerating. At Aquaria, we believe access to clean water shouldn't depend on a functioning pipe, a healthy reservoir, or a zip code. By generating water directly from the air, we're giving people a source they can count on — one that doesn't run dry when the well does. Every unit we deploy is a step toward a world where water independence is real, resilient, and within reach for anyone who needs it.
What are our machines?
Our machines are specialized heat-exchange systems whose purpose is to produce water. High-powered fans draw fresh air into the machine. Condensation forms on the coils, then drips into an internal storage tank where it is then UV-sterilized on timed intervals and filtered prior to exiting the machine for use.You can learn more about our products at https://aquaria.world.Requirements
Who You Are
You know heat-exchange systems in and out already. Though Aquaria can train you on our company and the components that make our systems unique, we cannot train on HVAC/ refrigeration. This is where you are the subject matter expert. You thrive in environments that have shifting priorities where no two days look quite alike. You love the outdoors and know how to keep yourself cool and hydrated in the Texas heat (you will work with filtered water so there is plenty of opportunity to stay hydrated).
Core Responsibilities
Service Call Resolution: You're dispatched with information about a customer issue. You diagnose the problem, determine the root cause and point of failure, and resolve it before leaving the site. That can mean anything from leak detection, brazing, and compressor swaps to refrigerant recovery, evacuation, and charging, replacing filter driers and metering devices, or troubleshooting fan motors, capacitors, contactors, relays, control boards (MCU), and sensors. While on-site, you also conduct a thorough, end-to-end health check of the entire machine to ensure its holistic health: not just fixing the reported issue, but confirming the unit is in good overall shape. Below is an additional breakdown of what you can expect day to day:

Preventative Maintenance: When dispatched for routine maintenance visits, you inspect machines, clean components and condenser coils, replace filters as needed, check refrigerant pressures, superheat, and subcooling, inspect electrical connections and components, and ensure units are operating optimally.

Post-Installation Machine Support: Assist with commissioning of new unit installations, including electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration connections, leak checks, evacuation, and verifying system charge and operating pressures.

Warehouse Operations: Assist with machine QA prior to leaving the warehouse (including run tests and leak checks), shipping, receiving, inventory counts and organization, and equipment preparation.

Documentation and Reporting: Use basic AI tools to document service visits, maintenance performed, and issues identified as a means of reporting and record-keeping. We'll train you: no spreadsheets, no paperwork, just efficient AI-assisted documentation that makes your job easier.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including proper refrigerant handling and electrical work.

Required Qualifications

EPA Section 608 (Universal preferred)

TDLR technician registration (or eligibility)

5+ years hands-on refrigeration or HVAC-R service experience

Valid Driver's License; forklift experience a plus

Able to lift 100 lb, work on ladders, and work outdoors in Texas summers

Desired Qualities

Natural Curiosity: Genuine passion and enthusiasm to learn our specialized refrigeration equipment that comes in the form of an atmospheric water generator. You'll become the go-to person on these machines.

Resourcefulness: You figure things out before asking for help. YouTube, documentation, trial and error — you exhaust those resources first. We're a scrappy startup, and we value people who take the initiative to learn.

Coachability: Willingness to adopt basic AI tools for reporting and record-keeping. No prior AI experience required, but you need to be eager to learn and adapt. Basic AI knowledge is a bonus.

Computer-Native: Comfortable sending videos, photos, and voice notes. You don't need to be a computer expert or know how to write spreadsheets — just be naturally comfortable with your phone and basic apps. A strong preference for candidates who have already adopted the use of AI in their day-to-day lives.

Problem-Solver: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities. You diagnose issues efficiently and solve problems creatively in the field.

Team Player: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You work well with customers and our internal team, and you stay responsive across all channels — email, text, Slack, and other apps — diligently and without needing reminders.

Adaptability: Flexibility in a fast-paced startup environment. Priorities shift, and you roll with it.

Physical Demands

Full-time role with variable workload day to day.

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Frequently lift, carry, and push equipment up to one hundred pounds.

Climb ladders and work at heights.

Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and squat while installing and servicing equipment.

Drive for extended periods to customer sites.

Wear personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and safety shoes.

Benefits
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation: $38-$45 / hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

40-hour week [on-call policy]

Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance: Comprehensive coverage.

Take-home service truck

Generous PTO and holidays.

Leadership and managerial growth opportunities.
