The ideal candidate is fully conversant with electric motor and generator technologies. In this role, you will work closely with our engineering team to develop new and novel solutions and be responsible for the design, engineering and analytical validation of supporting generator frame components including structures, tooling and fixtures. Knowledge or exposure to permanent magnet designs, their engineering, analysis and fabrication is highly desired but not essential. Backed by top-tier investors and several multi-year government R&amp;D contracts to commercialize our technology. Job Overview  The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for managing day to day facility activities at the Verterra site in support of business execution, product development and growing operations on our government / DOD customer contract(s) and internal research and development efforts.  They will be responsible for procurement, shipping and receiving, coordinating facilities activities, vendor management, and inventory management as we scale up operations.  They will work closely with the operations, engineering, programs and leadership teams and report directly to the COO. We are looking for individuals who can hit the ground running, be willing to roll up their sleeves to work in a startup environment, execute and plan their own work direction, as well as thrive in a collaborative and variable environment.  We are seeking an individual with strong communication, planning, interpersonal skills that can grow with the business. Requirements<h3>Job Responsibilities </h3>Shipping and Receiving <ul><li>Coordinate Shipping and Receiving: Oversee the shipping and receiving processes, ensuring that all incoming and outgoing shipments are handled promptly and accurately. This includes tracking shipments, managing shipping documentation, and addressing any issues that arise. </li></ul><ul><li>Mail Management: Regularly check and distribute incoming mail and packages. Ensure that important correspondence is directed to the appropriate team members promptly. </li></ul>Procurement <ul><li>Vendor Management: Coordinate with the Engineering Team to find, source key vendors and manage the communications. </li></ul><ul><li>Visitor Follow-up: Update the Engineering Team on timelines and progress from vendors. </li></ul><ul><li>Purchasing: Collaborate with the Engineering Team on all items needed to be purchased by the company. </li></ul><ul><li>Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all office operations, including financial transactions, correspondence, and inventory. </li></ul>Facility Management <ul><li>Facility Administration: Coordinate daily site activities to ensure employees, vendors, and visitors can carry out operations effectively and safely. </li></ul><ul><li>Facility Administration: Work closely with our facilities partners to coordinate, schedule and manage completion of operations activities. </li></ul><ul><li>Administration: Perform basic administration activities at the site at the direction of the various departments and leadership team (E.g. In this position, the Senior Mechanical Engineer will contribute to numerous phases of product design, development, prototyping, manufacturing and operational support. This position will play a critical part in Verterra Energy’s novel modular hydropower technology development process and will transition successful concepts through prototyping and into production.The successful candidate will be responsible for component and subsystem mechanical design and engineering, analysis, validation and performance testing, systems integration, part prototyping, assembly, along with on-site installation, in-field commissioning and operation, and related activities. The ideal candidate has a background with subsea engineering and the ability to handle both hands on engineering work while leading a small team of mechanical engineers.
