We are a team of entrepreneurs, inventors, and activists who are committed to mitigating climate change. We know there are great technologies, like induction stoves and heat pumps, which can immediately make people's lives better, while also making a big difference on climate change. So we created Channing St. Copper Co. to get these technologies in more homes as quickly as possible.

Accelerating adoption of climate-friendly home technologies for immediate impact.

Overview Copper is electrifying the end of the grid by putting batteries inside everyday appliances, starting with Charlie, our battery-equipped induction range to improve how devices perform, draw power, and fit into the modern home. As Channel Business Development Manager, you'll create and own the relationships that put Copper in more homes: pitching and winning new business across energy companies, electricians, HVAC companies, solar and storage providers, builders, and GCs, then growing each of those accounts as we expand into new products and markets. You won't just close deals, you'll develop and execute partner programs that get their salespeople excited, make their operations teams' lives easier, and give their leaders a reason to bet on Copper. You'll report to our Director of Channel Sales and work alongside a small, fast-moving team that's biased toward action and open to a good idea from anyone. Success in this role looks like a growing roster of active channel partners, deepening revenue inside those accounts, and a market that increasingly sees Copper as an obvious way to electrify the home. We value diversity and are committed to building a team that reflects a wide range of backgrounds, experiences, abilities, and perspectives. We’re especially focused on fostering an inclusive workplace where everyone can contribute to our shared mission. This is a full-time position and it is expected to be in-office 4 days per week with 1 day flexible for in-office or remote work. Our office is located in Berkeley, CA. What you'll do

Own new business development across the channel. Target, pitch and win partnerships with contractors, electricians, HVAC companies, solar and storage companies, builders, and GCs, carrying deals from first conversation to signed agreement.

Grow revenue inside existing accounts. You personally own account success and expansion, deepening each relationship as we bring new products and markets to our partners.

Develop relationships and execute programs that excite partners' salespeople, delight their operations teams, and inspire their leaders by positioning Copper strategically within each organization.

Travel to accounts to close business and represent Copper at partner offices, industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events, putting Charlie in front of the people who need to see it in person.

Partner cross-functionally with product, marketing, and operations (shared with the broader team) to translate what you hear in the field into Copper's roadmap and go-to-market strategy.

Move fast and shape strategy. Operate in an early-stage environment where you help define the playbook rather than inherit one, and act with a bias toward doing something.

Represent the mission. Carry Copper's energy, sustainability and grid-electrification story credibly to every partner and audience.

What you'll bring

A track record of pitching and winning new B2B business in a channel or partnerships context, ideally with contractors, electricians, HVAC companies, solar and storage providers, builders, or GCs. If your wins came in an adjacent B2B channel with a similar sales motion, tell us how it translates.

Real strength in customer success and account management; you've grown revenue inside accounts over time, not just landed the initial deal.

The ability to build partner programs from the ground up and position a product strategically across a partner's sales, operations, and leadership teams.

Comfort in a startup environment : fast-paced, fast-moving, open to good ideas, and biased toward action. You're energized by ambiguity and by helping write the playbook.

Experience in or genuine passion for renewable energy and sustainability. You feel personally connected to the mission of electrifying the grid. Direct energy-industry experience is great; a demonstrated commitment to the space and the ability to learn fast is also a strong path in.

Willingness and enthusiasm to travel to partner accounts and represent Copper at industry and networking events.

A persuasive, relationship-driven communicator who can excite a salesperson, reassure an operator, and win over a leader sometimes in the same meeting.

Compensation & BenefitsOn-target annual earnings for this role are $170,000-$200,000. We are committed to equitable compensation and we offer a generous benefits package to make sure you have the support you need. Equal Employment OpportunityWe are committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment for all our employees and are seeking to build a team that reflects the diversity of the people we hope to serve with our products. We are proud to be an equal opportunity employer. About UsCopper's vision is a future where every home is electrified with abundant clean energy. Our mission is to make decarbonization accessible to everyone by selling electric home appliances that enrich their daily lives. We're reducing the cost of electrification by integrating batteries into household appliances, starting with the stove. Our work has been funded by the Department of Energy, in an effort to reduce reliance on fossil fuels and increase energy resilience with products that are high-performance, safe, intuitive, and robust. As we build our team and pursue our mission, we do it with a strong sense of our core values because it's not just what you do, it's how you do it. OverviewAt Copper, we're reinventing home appliances for an electrified future. Our products come equipped with batteries, accelerating electrification and turning every customer home into a source of grid flexibility. We're looking for an Energy Products Program Manager to help make our energy programs and pilots a success. You'll be the day-to-day operator behind these programs involving Copper's products, working closely with our internal teams and external partners to keep programs on track from scheduling to installation to VPP event dispatch. You'll also partner closely with Engineering and Product through the design, build, and test of new products – tracking development milestones, surfacing risks early, and making sure field and pilot learnings make their way back into the product roadmap. This is a hands-on, execution-oriented role: you'll run meetings, chase blockers, keep documentation tight, and be the person that everyone – internally and externally – can count on to know where things stand. You'll get exposure to the full range of the work, with room to grow into owning more of it over time. You may also help keep a pulse on the policy and market landscape, support research into new program and partnership opportunities, and help evaluate promising new business development or go-to-market ideas. Strong organizational instincts: you keep multiple moving pieces on track without letting anything slip.

Excellent written and verbal communication – high attention to detail and comfortable running meetings and being the face of a program to outside partners.

Bias toward action – you're comfortable in ambiguity and default to figuring things out rather than waiting for instructions.

Eager to work cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations teams.

Curious and analytical – energized by digging into a policy filing, analyzing product performance data, or making the case to launch a new program.

Willingness to travel locally and support installs in person as needed.

Ideally:

Experience working alongside hardware or product engineering teams, ideally through a design-build-test cycle (NPI, DVT/PVT, or similar).

Experience with VPPs, residential energy programs, solar, batteries, HVAC, or other home electrification.

Exposure to energy policy, utility programs, or regulatory processes.

LocationThis is a full-time position and it is expected to be in-office 4 days per week with 1 day flexible for in-office or remote work.
