As VP of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in shaping the development of our AI-driven products and services, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge of technology. The successful candidate will bring a strong strategic mindset and has a proven track record of success in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a B2B context.Reporting to the CEO, this hire will be a key member of the executive team with a high degree of visibility and impact across the organization.</div><div> </div><div><strong>Role Responsibilities:</strong><ul><li>Define and communicate a compelling technical vision and roadmap aligned with ClimateAI's mission and business objectives</li><li>Lead, mentor, uplevel, and grow a cross-functional team of data scientists, climate scientists, data engineers, and software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning. </li><li>Provide strategic guidance to the product development process, leveraging the latest SOTA technologies to create impactful solutions.</li><li>Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI, machine learning, and climate science, identifying opportunities to integrate cutting-edge technologies into our products</li><li>Bring maturity to the tech organization from a process and people standpoint while balancing technical and product innovation</li><li>Uplevel and grow team members </li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>10+ years of relevant experience with at least 3+ years of experience as a manager </li><li>Prior experience launching and scaling technical products in an early-stage or growth-stage startup environment, ideally in a B2B context.</li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of adapting style to different audiences and stakeholders, both internally and externally representing the company in front of customers and potential investors</li><li>Ability to attract and nurture top engineering and AI talent</li><li>Passion for working to help address the issue of climate change</li><li>Resilient and able to work in a  fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with a sense of urgency and bias for action</li><li>Ability to drive technical direction and execution through teams and enable others</li><li>Strong cross-functional relationship builder </li><li>Ability to make quick decisions and generate buy-in from leadership team members</li><li>Seamlessly prioritize multiple stakeholders and projects with limited resources and information</li><li>Problem solver with a hands-on approach and the ability to anticipate adverse scenarios with thoughtful solutions to address them</li></ul></div><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>The base compensation range for employees based in the US is $250,000-300,000 and equity in line with experience and company stage. You will be an early member of the sales team to help us build and to pioneer selling our ClimateLens Adaptation Platform into global enterprises.</p><p>This person will work shoulder-to-shoulder with other Sales Executives and the VP of Sales in landing enterprise customers and further scaling out our repeatable sales processes. Our AI technology is best in class and has never before been successfully sold at scale. The product aims to enhance food security for governments and supply chain resilience for food companies. It uses biophysics-based AI approaches to model the impacts of extreme weather/climate change on food supply chains and drive procurement strategies for food companies and governments. </p><p><strong>What you’ll do</strong></p><ul><li>Build on the early successes of our Monitor Yield Outlook product. You will go deep with our customers—both existing and prospective customers—to build target user persona(s) and help shape a product roadmap that delivers value for these personas’ use cases.</li><li>Own the feature development process from end to end, including product strategy and vision, quarterly roadmap reviews, developing product requirements, testing plans, feature release notes, metrics instrumentation &amp; tracking, and bug triaging.</li><li>Report directly to the CEO, and work closely to develop and refine the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and prioritization.</li><li>As a team of one on the Product Management team you will work cross-function across Data Science, Engineering, Customer Success and the Leadership team. </li><li>Engage our sales and customer success teams to understand where acquisition, activation, and retention issues are occurring and develop product-led frameworks to address these issues.</li><li>Lead a cross-functional pod of software engineers, data engineers, and data scientists to shape and deliver on initiatives that drive value for our customers - you should be eager to learn from our data science and engineering teams, and be familiar working closely with technical teams. </li><li>Closely collaborate with our sales and business team to help position the Monitor Yield Outlook product in the market from both a customer value and technical differentiation perspective – this can include creating sales enablement materials (e.g., decks, FAQs, competitor analysis), crafting thought pieces and product marketing materials, and iterating on product pricing &amp; packaging</li></ul><p><strong>Nice to Have</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in agricultural and food industry, supply chain  management technology would be a pulse</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science or related technical field</li><li>Experience in data analytics platform</li><li>MBA </li></ul><p><strong>Compensation</strong></p><p>The base compensation range for this role for employees based in the US is $160,000-215,000.
