Colossal is seeking a talented Bioengineer or Scientist with expertise in biomedical devices to conduct pioneering research in the development and optimization of embryo maturation and gestation support systems. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team focused on advancing in vitro support systems. Scientist, Bioengineering

A division of Colossal Biosciences is looking for a talented cell or developmental biologist with an interest in the manipulation of avian primordial germ cells. Scientist, Avian Cell Engineering

The Patent Agent provides the development and execution of global patent strategies to build the patent portfolio in support of achieving company goals. This position serves as the biotech patent expert for the company. This individual will work with the legal team, research and development teams, and outside counsel to develop, implement, and maintain the patent portfolio for the company ensuring the protection of our intellectual property. Summer 2025 Internships - General Interest Posting

A division of Colossal Biosciences is seeking a Developmental Biologist to design and conduct experiments that will inform genetic engineering for Avian projects. Scientist, Developmental Biology

A division of Colossal Biosciences is looking for a talented cell or developmental biologist with an interest in the manipulation of avian primordial germ cells. You will work closely with other lab team members in efforts to innovate on protocols of avian primordial germ cell culture, genome editing, and reintroduction into embryos using cutting edge technologies. This position is based in Dallas, TX. Duties and Responsibilities:<ul><li>Culture avian primordial germ cells, test novel cell culture conditions, transfect cells, sort monoclonal cell lines, screen and expand cells according to latest protocols and newly developed approaches </li><li>Using a glass micropipette under a microscope, collect primordial germ cells from avian embryos and inject them into surrogate embryos</li><li>Work with team members to assess efficiency of editing through NGS sequencing approaches</li><li>Attends lab meetings, prepares reports and presentations on the progress of projects</li><li>Great organizational skills and excellent laboratory record maintenance</li></ul>Required Skills and Abilities:<ul><li>Experience manipulating embryos under a microscope</li><li>Experience in cell line derivation, culture, propagation, and transfection methodologies</li><li>Experience in molecular biology (nucleic and protein extraction, gel electrophoresis) </li><li>Experience with qPCR, FACS, flow cytometry, immunostaining, cell microscopy</li><li>Strong written and oral communication skills, as well as creative problem-solving skills</li></ul>Education and Experience:<ul><li>BA/BS/MA/MS in biological sciences, developmental biology, bioengineering, molecular biology, genetics, or any science related field.</li></ul><div>What Colossal Offers You:<ul><li style="font-weight:400;">Medical, dental, and vision coverage</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Unlimited PTO and company holidays so you can rest and recharge </li><li style="font-weight:400;">Flexible spending accounts (FSA)</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Company matched 401k retirement plan</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Paid parental leave up to 12 weeks</li><li style="font-weight:400;">Education reimbursement </li><li style="font-weight:400;">An opportunity to help us return the Earth to a healthier state</li></ul>The team at Colossal is committed, colorful, passionate, intelligent, collaborative, creative, experienced, scientific and world-class.
