Popular Power offers a hardware-agnostic approach for customers to consolidate site monitoring into a single platform, standardize alerts & analytics, and measure site performance. Customers can streamline O&M activities, reduce site downtime, and automate generation & savings reporting to their end-users. Popular Power currently monitors 46MW across 8k solar sites for its customers.
Popular Power was launched in 2023 by a team that, together, has founded or managed 6 distinct solar companies across the Americas, totaling 300k sites managed and 50MW in installed capacity. From working in the industry for so long, we always found ourselves asking the same question: why wasn’t there an operating system dedicated to the unique challenges solar operators face? At our previous companies, we were always frankenstein-ing together Excel spreadsheets, multiple solutions, or even custom developments to always fall just short of what we wanted. Plus, all of this took time away from what we wanted to do: sell, install, and operate solar energy systems for our customers.
That’s why we created Popular Power. We want to power forward the distributed solar revolution and we want all solar companies to have the right tool— the Popular tool— to scale.
