Terraton is a carbon removal company that helps entrepreneurs successfully start and operate biochar facilities around the world. We're built around the practical idea of getting more CDR facilities up and running quickly, by using existing, off-the-shelf technologies. We aim to bring thousands of low-cost carbon removal facilities online over the next decade, by building software that makes starting a facility easy.
Our software is a SaaS platform, purpose-built to help with all aspects of running a carbon removal facility. We are creating the first Carbon ERP solution, designed explicitly to scale new carbon businesses. The platform is tailored specifically to the needs of CDR facilities, including the ability to operate with heavy machinery in remote areas, report transparently to verifiers and certifiers, and meet the carbon buyer’s need for the highest level of trust through real-time data. The entire platform is designed to reduce the complexity and risk of starting a CDR business.
Terraton was founded by Kevin Gibbs, Greg D’alesandre, and Nat Robinson. We are repeat founders, with three startups and two acquired companies (Quip: Salesforce $750m, Leaf: IDT Corporation, Dandelion Chocolate), and 30 years experience at Google, Accenture, and Salesforce. Our previous funders include Benchmark, Greylock, Acumen Fund, and the Ford Foundation.
