You will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve the team’s product marketing goals and drive growth for our business.</p><p>Reporting to the VP of Strategy &amp; Marketing, your primary focus will be developing narratives around the need for and benefits of Camus’ grid orchestration platform. We are developing a grid orchestration platform to boost grid reliability, affordability, and resilience all while connecting and coordinating more renewable resource generators, energy storage, electric vehicles, and much more. We have big aspirations, and we can’t achieve them alone.</p><p>Camus needs great, well-grounded technical solution architects to engage with our utility partners. As a solution architect, you will contribute to all aspects of our technical integrations with our customers, including onboarding, maintenance, troubleshooting, and refactoring of data and control interfaces between grid hardware and Camus’ systems. This integration work will include some coding, typically in Python, but more commonly will focus on configuration, debugging, testing, and system administration activities.</p><p>This role will play a pivotal part in expanding Camus’ utility deployments and accelerating revenue growth.  This is a senior position suited for someone with 6+ years of professional systems development and administration experience.  Communication is paramount at Camus. This role will play a pivotal part in growing Camus’ revenue and impact within the public power sector – building on the company’s success to date.</p><h3>Responsibilities</h3><p>As a Director of Business Development, you will:</p><ul><li>Develop new qualified leads at industry trade shows and conferences</li><li>Contact and qualify Marketing Qualified Leads (MQLs) within the public power sector, assessing their unmet needs, willingness to spend, and budget authority</li><li>Introduce Camus’ grid orchestration software, with support from sales engineers, and nurture interest in and consideration of our solution</li><li>Develop and execute account plans for target accounts</li><li>Author and present sales proposals to qualified opportunities</li><li>Close deals, with support from the Vice President of Business Development</li><li>Ensure the CRM remains updated and functional, creating reports and sharing funnel updates and next steps with the extended Camus commercial team</li><li>Contribute to the development of new sales presentations and materials</li><li>Collaborate with Customer Success to ensure a smooth transition from closed deal to happy customer</li><li>Experience selling to or working within electric utilities is a must-have. As a small, agile business development team member, this role has the potential for significant impact and room for growth.
