We are looking for a growth marketing and engagement lead to jumpstart and streamline user acquisition and retention and lead our communications. We need someone with a data and process-driven mindset to accelerate growth. You will work directly with our project manager, CEO, UX designer, and clients to execute on communications needs and develop, test, and document new marketing and engagement strategies. The ideal candidate is someone who has excelled in both a communications and marketing space, thrives on metrics-driven curiosity, and has the enthusiasm to build thriving communities with effective and efficient processes. You will:
Own user growth and retention on platform
Generate and test new marketing and engagement strategies in partnership with the development team and independently with discrete A/B and user cohort driven tests
Deliver on client-facing communications and marketing needs:
Attending and lead communications meetings with clients and develop productive relationships with clients' comms teams
Design social media and other graphics content for clients based on their needs and constraints
Send client-specific emails and notifications to users
Become familiar with the most effective tactics to share with clients
Lead engagement and communications with current users.
Anticipate and send community notifications (emails, in-app, social media campaigns)
Test and implement on and off platform notifications (push, in-app, sms)
Engage with user base directly on platform with informed and relevant content
Research and write blogs related to community-sourced posts and client-relevant analysis or content
Lead ISeeChange's social media presence
This is a full time contract role. The position is remote, but special consideration will be given to candidates in ISeeChange’s target markets. Generally we are active online between 9am-6pm EST. The ISC multi-disciplinary team currently consists of a full-time director and 9 remote team members across development, data science, climate science, journalism, urban planning, and community organizing.
What you have:
3+ years in marketing, engagement, and communications.
An obsession with metrics, identifying high value users, designing high return engagement tactics, and extracting patterns
Experience with SaaS companies
Experience generating both social media and newsletter content
Proven track record of success in designing and meeting marketing and engagement goals.
Familiarity with analytics platforms (google, mixpanel, etc)
Ability to quickly identify challenges that user and clients are having
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
A passion for designing tactics that make users excited
An interest in climate change and community-driven data
We’d be super pumped if you also have:
Graphic design skills
Experience with Substack
Comfort iterating on presentation materials and delivering them for both community members and clients
