EVmatch’s software creates a two-sided digital marketplace that makes EV chargers profitable for building owners, and easily accessible by EV drivers. On the commercial side of its platform, EVmatch sells EV charging hardware, software, and installation services to commercial property managers who are seeking the most affordable and flexible EV charging solution on the market. This role is specifically focused on selling to multi-family residential property managers, developing strategic business partnerships to increase network growth, and supporting with company-wide marketing and social media. Position Description: The Sales and Partnerships Lead position has three primary components: 1) direct sales to multi-family and commercial property owners/managers; 2) affiliate partnership development with electrical installation contractors, project consultants, solar companies, and e-mobility services companies with well-aligned customer audiences; and 3) marketing, social media, content creation, and marketing analysis. The role requires flexibility, excellent sales and communication skills, strong attention to detail, a positive attitude, strategic decision-making skills, and wiliness to adapt to changing business conditions and responsibilities. Specific tasks may include, but are not limited to: Direct Sales to Multi-Family and Commercial Property Owners (50% of time): Developing and qualifying prospective multi-family residential and commercial site host leads Managing CA Energy Commission grant project multi-family property sites leads, conducting outreach to garner new leads, and moving projects along from lead status to final closing Coordinating with installation partners to support prospective customers in receiving and understanding EV charger installation bids Managing and maintaining a robust pipeline of leads Conducting direct phone and email outreach Developing automated email marketing campaigns to support sales and partnership development Proactively calling new leads and maintaining a high level of outbound communication Identifying, initiating and nurturing relationships with prospects; demonstrating via online or in-person presentations, and closing deals over the phone, via email, and in-person Closing sales; converting prospective leads into paying customers Identifying and developing relationships with property management companies, real estate investment trusts, and commercial real estate owners/asset managers Documenting account activity and client information Data collection, cleaning, and processing in support of sales activities (e.g. Costar data collection and cleaning for HubSpot uploads) Documenting detailed project information in HubSpot, Trello, Excel and Google tracking sheets, incentive project platforms, and in other digital systems as required Coordinating with sales operations team to properly hand off closed deals for installations and host onboarding Developing new processes and procedures to support the growth and development of EVmatch’s sales operations Attending and exhibiting at community events, tradeshows, conferences, ect. Develop Affiliate Partnerships with Signed Agreements (25% of time): Conducting outreach and sales to potential affiliate partners with the goal of developing mutual business partnerships that drive EVmatch network growth, expediate project installations, and increase utilization of EV charging stations on the EVmatch platform Partnership development work will specifically be targeted at: Electrical contractors Solar companies EV charging project consultants and management companies E-mobility service providers with aligned audiences Electric utilities (in collaboration with Product Manager and Customer Strategist) Negotiating and executing partnership contracts Collaborating with the product, marketing, and executive teams to bring in market insights that inform new product development, pricing, and other business model decisions Marketing, Social Media, Content Creation, and Analytics (25% of time): Creating social media content and posting or scheduling on all platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn Supporting with email marketing and video content campaigns as assigned Contributing creative content ideas that align with the company’s brand, mission, and target audiences Supporting with managing paid advertising campaigns, including Google Ads and Apple Ads Supporting on marketing and customer analysis projects, including analysis using RStudio, pgAdmin, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Google Ads, and Apple Ads Required Qualifications and Experience: Bachelor’s degree or work experience showing progressively increasing level of responsibility 2+ years of sales experience, ideally in solar energy, energy efficiency, EV charging, battery storage, or SaaS software Proven aptitude for generating leads and managing sales pipeline with a history of consistent over-quota achievement of sales goals and maintenance of customer loyalty over time Excellent presentation and verbal communications skills Positive attitude and adaptability to changing business conditions Team-oriented approach that is focused on collective business growth and development A professional business manner, positive energy Strategic and resourceful decision-making skills that consider the early-stage nature of the company and small team Highly organized and detail-oriented Discipline to manage time effectively with minimum supervision Strong customer service skills Experience working remotely from home, with strong aptitude for self-managing Tech-savvy, including familiarity with CRMs, Google products, Slack, and Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of EV charging equipment and industry Basic understanding of electricity, electricity metering, and electric utility rate structures
