Reporting to the President and Chief Operating Officer Catherine Roggero - Lovisi, Modern Meadow’s General Manager will be a key strategic partner instrumental in building, leading and executing strategy, operations and sales for our Beauty and Wellness Business Unit. Responsibilities will include partner outreach, account management, strategic analysis, preparation of marketing and communication materials, attendance at industry events, and deal negotiation. Some international travel will be expected.
Develop business plans and pricing strategy for Bio-Coll@gen through B2B relationships
Identify and build strategic customer engagements introduce our ingredients to new audiences and support business priorities
Engage with partners and customers to provide best in class client services and account management
Work with Senior Director of Communications to develop marketing communication plans, and to guide creative development related to claims, performance, and applications
Develop a platform / ingredient-based business strategy to drive growth
Launch new products supported by continued promotion and business plans
Inform technical development and validate ROI for internal projects
Perform economic analysis of potential ingredients and use this data to create ideas around positioning and go-to-market strategy
Develop budget, execution and KPIs for all B2B initiatives
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturers, and regulatory partners to ensure all products are compliant
15+ years of related work experience in cosmetic ingredients, with a track record of launching active ingredients (especially biotech products and/or synthetic peptides)
Business deal experience and enthusiasm for sales and account management.
Experience in building out B2B strategy
Experience with innovative communications campaign development
Obsession with products, innovation, marketing, and delivering a best-in-class consumer experience
Have the capability to translate market data into strategic ideas for business that highlights the unique opportunities of our protein development capabilities
Relevant technical background and knowledge of key global regulatory topics pertaining to product approvals, licensing, and certifications
Experience with sustainability metrics and certifications in product development, manufacturing, and distribution is a plus
Motivated to deliver truly meaningful and impactful work and products to consumers and customers to create a lasting positive change in the industry
Proven ability to drive, lead, and communicate change effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong leadership skills with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work
Ability to lead teams in a hybrid environment, ensuring optimal results regardless of location of the team
Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
