Software and Data Infrastructure Team The SDI Team is a key enabler of the May Mobility mission, operationalizing the experience of using autonomous technology for real people on real routes. Your opportunity to drive success: The Support Engineering Team ensures the continued safe and autonomous operation of the May Mobility fleet as well as aiding the autonomy team to advance our roadmap. The role of the Autonomy Support Engineers (ASEs) is to develop a broad expertise across the entire vehicle system and play a critical role as the first line of defense for remote debugging, investigating problems, and tracking issues within the fleet. The ASEs also contribute to ongoing development work through analysis of vehicle testing and curation and maintenance of vehicle datasets. This opportunity is a hybrid role, where office work is located at May Mobility HQ in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Occasional travel may be required to operational sites. Responsibilities: Serve as a first line of defense against urgent fleet issues by assisting remote site operations teams with debugging and systems expertise in real time Investigate reported fleet issues for root cause, track and categorize common issues, and escalate when necessary to the Field Response team. This includes looking at cases and reviewing logs to be the first to triage autonomy issues from the field. We are looking for an Electrical engineering Manager to lead a team of electrical engineers while still performing technical tasks within the projects in order to accomplish company objectives. The candidate needs to have a passion for up-fitting existing vehicles with AV technology and compelling rider and safety driver experiences. This role will report to the director of System and Vehicle Engineering. In this role you will be: Responsible for the electrical architectures and designs of the different vehicle platforms Providing differentiating technical designs for cutting-edge autonomous vehicle solutions Responsible for development and production release of all relevant electrical engineering deliverables Participating in quality, safety, project, production, peer, cross-functional,... reviews and ensuring that all electrical engineering deliverables are met. Ensuring appropriate technical supplier relationships for all key suppliers. Collaborating with other teams such as: Supply Chain, Functional Safety, Cyber Security, Software, Autonomy, Production, Quality, Test and Validation to ensure the product safety. Ensuring proper engineering response is provided for new projects and engineering changes. Working to source components and identifying suppliers to meet the system design requirements .
