Blue Dot Motorworks is looking for a CEO to come aboard at a co-founder level. We are developing retrofit systems to convert conventional vehicles into plug-in hybrids. We have built multiple proof of concept prototypes, have strong IP pending, and are preparing to seek our first round of grant and equity funding.
Our solution is the only one that addresses the prohibitive cost of producing enough electric cars to achieve climate goals, the carbon impact of producting those vehicles and scrapping existing cars, and the inability to produce enough batteries to support the required production volumes of pure EVs. Our secret sauce is our vehicle-agnostic technology, which enables mass production, the lowest possibel cost, and the ability to scale for global impact.
The ideal candidate would have startup experience, including fundraising, experience in hardware development, and general business acumen. Sector experince is preferred (transportation, EVs, mobility, etc.), as is familiarity with governement relations (attaining EV tax credit would be game-changing).
Candidate must be willing to work without salary until funding is secured. Less than full time engagement prior to funding is acceptable.

Blue Dot Motorworks is addressing the elephant&nbsp;in the room when it comes to decarbonizing road transportation, the largest end-use source of greenhouse gas: no matter how fast we transition production to EVs, the global fleet will not turn over fast enough to hit our climate targets.We have developed the first universal technology for electrifying existing vehicles. They can be installed by any mechanic, anywhere, in about a day, enabling global reach and scale. The systems reduce typical fuel consumption by 70%, paying for themselves in as little as two years and saving tens-of-thousands of dollars over their lifetimes. They eliminate the embodied carbon of new vehicle production, require only 20% of the battery of a full EV, reduce the need for public charging infrastructure, and eliminate the need to prematurely scrap perfectly good vehicles.
