Position Description:&nbsp;As the Senior Business Relations Representative, you will support Citizens&rsquo; Climate in our strategic goal of building vocal support from businesses for climate action and specifically for our preferred policy, carbon fee and dividend, and the Energy Innovation and Carbon Dividend Act (https://energyinnovationact.org/). You will drive new initiatives, working directly with key businesses and trade associations to build a critical mass of support and engagement with federal lawmakers. In addition, you will cultivate and maintain relationships with allied organizations working with businesses on climate change, working to coordinate and collaborate efforts where possible. Work will include supporting and coordinating with the unique network of Citizens&rsquo; Climate volunteers who are also reaching out to businesses in their local communities and across the country, including our national&nbsp;<a href="https://www.businessclimateleaders.org/">Business Climate Leaders action team</a>.
Qualifications:

<li>Experience working in leadership, management, or government affairs in the corporate sector, or 3+ years experience working in business outreach for an advocacy organization.</li>
<li>Comfort working with high level business professionals.</li>
<li>Self-directed, driven, goal oriented, with comfort working remotely.</li>
<li>Experience with management and mentoring</li>
<li>Good communication and conflict resolution skills</li>
<li>Proven networking and relationship building skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency with email, LinkedIn.com, databases, video conferencing, research, systems design.</li>
<li>Comfort working with diverse staff and volunteers in an organization committed to bipartisanship and addressing diversity, equity and inclusion.</li>
<li>Must be eligible to work in the United States.</li>
<li>Access to a computer with camera, phone and reliable internet are a must.</li>
<li>Experience working in government relations or with Congress a plus.</li>
<li>Experience working on sales a plus.</li>
<li>Experience organizing volunteers a plus.</li>
<li>Spanish/English bilingual a plus.</li>

Note: Evening and weekend hours may be necessary when working with volunteers across multiple time zones. Expect occasional travel post-covid.
