Principal DevOps Engineer

QuantumScape is on a mission to transform energy storage with solid-state lithium-metal battery technology. The company’s next-generation batteries are designed to enable longer range, faster charging and enhanced safety in electric vehicles to support the transition away from legacy energy sources toward a lower carbon future.





We are looking for an experienced DevOps engineer who can help us accelerate our software development efforts as we move towards building a solid-state battery. The candidate would bring valuable insight into our most difficult automation challenges, and deliver solutions that are secure, scalable, and robust.

We embrace the latest DevOps technologies, and empower our team members to push the boundaries of what is possible.
Responsibilities:Designing, implementing and maintaining advanced DevOps automation infrastructure for cloud and on-premise applicationPlanning, designing, and developing k8s deployment strategiesWorking closely with software engineers to deploy their applications into production using CI/CDCreate and maintain common monitoring, logging, and analytics services for observability within our applications
Requirements:5+ years of proven experience as a Dev/Ops engineer, 8+ years of experience for Principal level.BS in computer science or equivalent fieldExperience with GCP cloud environment and “infrastructure as code” technologies such as TerraformExperience with configuration management tools such as AnsibleSolid understanding of Docker/k8sStrong scripting language experience in languages such as Bash or PythonExperience with CI/CD frameworks such as GitHub Actions
Compensation Details: $155-209K base salary depending on experience, educational degree(s). Our compensation plan also includes an annual bonus and a generous RSU/Equity package.
