Internship Charging Solutions DACH

At Volta, we’re on a mission to accelerate the adoption of the electric vehicle. Volta's award-winning charging stations benefit brands, consumers, and real-estate locations by providing valuable advertising space to businesses and convenient charging to drivers. Strategically located in places consumers already visit, Volta's chargers are currently the most used electric vehicle charging stations in the United States. As a part of our European expansion we have offices in Berlin and Paris.

The go to market strategy is to develop an extensive network of charging stations at strategic locations by developing key partnerships with players such as retailers, malls, real estate owners, cities, tourism services, and entertainment centers.

Your new environment

You will be part of the charging solutions team. In detail you would leverage your skills to help our business development and partnership managers acquire the most valuable sites and create a comprehensive charging network in Europe. 

You have a good eye for detail and a sharp understanding of technology driven products and understand the concepts of design thinking. 

Within your internship, you will be able to gain experience on what is important, to launch a modified product in new markets in time, in line with regulation and grasp how a product-market-fit is established. 

You will be working closely with other managers on both sides of the ocean, as we closely work with our offices in Paris and San Francisco.

Role Mission

• Learn all aspects of Volta’s products and services.
• Work with the charging solutions team to onboard new site partners.
• Have command of the Volta value proposition, key differentiators, and how to pitch our full value to a client in a clear, confident, and convincing manner.
• Ability to quickly assess and understand a customer’s business environment and needs and apply Volta’s business value to ensure the customer understands our unique value proposition
• Develop and perform a prospecting plan of new Volta site partners to support business growth.
• Assist in managing account data, leading conversion, creating opportunities.
• Meet and develop relationships with key internal stakeholders

Qualifications

• Doing a bachelor or master degree in economics, business engineering, sustainability management or a similar course of study
• Passionate about project management and multiple tasks handling
• Extremely resourceful, willing to contribute to business growth initiatives
• Exceptional communication skills
• Strong written and representation skills with high attention to details.
• Team player with a great social and communication skills
• Working knowledge of MS Office, Google Apps and Mapping skills
• Fluent in English
• German C2 level
