Aeris Technologies Inc, a subsidiary of Project Canary, PBC, designs, manufactures, and commercializes the next-generation of laser-based gas analyzers used in a variety of applications such as quantifying greenhouse gas emissions, atmospheric pollutants, and natural gas leaks. Aeris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Sales Manager to join our team in Hayward, CA.

As a Sales Manager at Aeris, your role is critical in the next phase of growth for Aeris Technologies and in helping to expand the impact of Project Canary's mission to fight climate change. This role would be the ambassador and expert to the line of product and service offerings of Aeris Technologies and Project Canary.

This position requires partnership with engineers, technicians, supply chain managers, operations, customer success, and other relevant divisions to propose solutions to clients that can be delivered. The ideal outcome would be increasing the customer base and driving revenue growth for the company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Build scrape programs to originate viable leads
  • Follow up on active and newly generated leads
  • Work with end users in industry and academia to increase exposure and revenue
  • Relaying information internally to help drive customer feedback


  • 5+ years experience selling scientific instruments to end users in industry and academia
  • Experience in sales of test and measurement instruments, with emphasis on chemical analysis or gas analysis instrumentation
  • Experience selling and marketing laser-based sensor technologies for gas analysis highly preferred
  • Familiarity with the physical principles and concept of operation (conop) of gas-phase chemical analysis instrumentation, including laser and non-laser-based methods
  • Familiarity with the conop of handheld vs fixed vs mobile gas detection instrumentation, with emphasis on applications such as natural gas leak detection, indoor air quality, and ambient air monitoring
  • Bachelor's degree
