SUMMARY

Nexamp is seeking a Director, Capital Markets.  Reporting to the Vice President of Capital Markets, this team member will help to mentor and develop a group of talented associates and analysts.  You will lead a team responsible for the execution and performance of capital markets activities including, but not limited to capital raising (debt and tax equity), transaction diligence, managing process timelines, financial modeling, investor outreach, and investor relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the day-to-day tasks and responsibilities of future project and portfolio-level debt, tax equity and cash equity transactions
  • Anticipate how company, industry, and macroeconomic conditions and events will affect liquidity, interest rates, and access to capital markets
  • Proactively review existing portfolio financings and upcoming financing pipeline to generate attractive new opportunities (e.g. private placement offerings, ABS offerings, etc.)
  • On-going portfolio management initiatives (e.g. revenue and offtake mix, customer churn, operating expense review, etc.) which would involve direct / recurring interaction with the following internal business units: Community Solar, Asset Management, O&M, EPC, Accounting, Energy Sales, amongst others
  • Manage external third-party relationships including but not limited to lenders, tax equity investors, bond rating agencies, consultants, etc.
  • Interact with Nexamp’s central data systems and software development team to create reusable interfaces
  • Consolidate and analyze financial data (budgets, cash flow forecasts, etc.)
  • Support senior management and FP&A Director with financial planning and analysis
  • Manage multiple workflows and internal relationships simultaneously through delegation to and oversight of junior members of the Capital Markets team and potentially other business units 
  • Represent the Company with the highest level of professionalism to investors, partners, and vendors

QUALIFICATIONS

Ideal candidate must be enthusiastic, self-motivated, results-oriented, and operate well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment. 

  • 5+ years of investment banking, private equity, venture capital, capital raising, valuation, accounting, computer science, applied mathematics, quantitative analytics or relevant work experience preferred
  • Desire to lead, manage and develop a team of junior Capital Markets members 
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the Capital Markets team, executive management, and all departments across the organization 
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, and the ability to efficiently manage multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment 
  • Proven analytical ability and attention to detail 
  • Highly motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage conflicting priorities and requests 
  • Excellent financial modeling, financial statement analysis, and accounting skills / knowledge 
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office software (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)  
  • Proficient in quantitative analytics and experience with Python, SQL, C#, Java, .NET, and VBA is preferred, but not required  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Experience in renewables, energy or infrastructure preferred, but not required
