Job Description

As the first product marketing hire at MACRO-EYES, play the defining role in the company’s brand identity. Tell the story of cutting-edge ML powering new solutions for supply and demand networks:save lives; put a dent in climate change; enable organizations to do more with less; have a purpose.
Convey the power of the supply chain that predicts what’s needed next – systems that ensure our customers can prepare, instead of always reacting, late. You will be in charge of communicating our product’s benefits to current and potential customers. You will tell the story of transformative solutions the world has never seen.

What you'll be doing:

  • Define the product marketing strategy. STRIATA is software that creates the predictive supply chain, providing enhanced capabilities to forecast consumption, understand the capacity of infrastructure, and predict behavior, even in low data and high uncertainty environments
  • Produce relevant sales and marketing collateral and content to increase sales
  • Develop marketing campaigns to attract new customers and partners
  • Define the Macro-Eyes tone of voice as well as all internal and external communications
  • Partner with domain experts and world class scientists to lend depth to how we frame our product
  • Build and motivate the team
  • Develop daringly unconventional approaches for telling the story: collaborate with poets, artists, commission a billboard in the desert that imagines ML described by Malevich, leverage the concept of carrier pigeons or the undersea cables that form the Internet …

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role; demonstrated track record of success with SaaS products
  • Experience working on marketing or growth over the course of a product’s lifecycle
  • Ability to distill signal from noise in evolving, complex use-cases – identifying the plot turn that snaps the product into focus
  • Ability to listen deeply – understand and anticipate customer needs
  • Experience building a team as well as managing and mentoring colleagues and/or external contractors and freelancers
  • Be a storyteller. You have deep empathy for users and are able to adapt how you
    communicate to best reach and engage your audience — from scientist to CFO to
    government official — and differentiate Macro-Eyes. You understand when to present a single metric, when images are the best medium and when words must do the job. You understand when we should use existing metaphors and when we must startle with the radical value of our product and underlying technology
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills

We’re particularly excited if you have expertise in supply chain or “tough tech” and/or have held a marketing / growth role in a non-digital industry (manufacturing, maritime, CPG). We believe fierce drive and motivation is more valuable than specific skill – critical thinking and willingness to learn on the job goes far when confronting new challenges.
