Cruise is looking for a Senior Technical Product Operations Manager to help us improve our HD mapping efficiency. This role will focus on continuous process improvements and come with creative ways to improve our workforce efficiency. The Technical Product Operations Manager role works closely with Map Engineering, and Technical Product Management, Data Science, and AV engineering, in addition to major programs at Cruise. As Cruise approaches commercialization and starts to expand into new cities, this team is expected to grow in size.

What you’ll be doing:

  • You will work on challenging and exciting problems to improve the Cruise High Definition Maps. Focusing on metrics and KPIs to measure the product performance, cost, efficiency and workforce utilization.
  • Develops paretos on the costliest task and ideate solutions to increase productivity
  • Create a roadmap to improve labeller tooling to improve Productivity and quality
  • Shadow labellers, perform (or source) time and motion studies to look for optimization opportunities
  • Work with Product and engineering counterparts to help prioritize roadmap

What you must have:

  • Bachelors Degree in quantitative field of study
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in product operations, operations management, or management consulting experience.
  • Data analysis experience with a basic understanding of relational databases.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and programs simultaneously and keeping partners up to date on progress and risk.
  • Ability to remain flexible and thrive in ambiguity.
  • Ability to collaborate and communicate efficiently across teams.
  • Ability to use quantitative and qualitative feedback to form insights that drive actions.
  • Ability to identify and act on tools and processes to improve efficiency.
  • Product thinking to identify product improvements based on quantitative analysis

Bonus points!

  • MBA degree or advanced degree in a quantitative field
  • Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets. Basic SQL knowledge is helpful.
  • Experience with scripting and python
  • Experience building dashboards in Looker or Big Query
