Upstream Tech is a climate tech company that uses satellites and machine learning to help organizations manage and monitor natural resources. We are growing quickly and building out our marketing team.
We are looking for a talented marketing team member to help us grow the market for our Lens and HydroForecast products and raise the profile of Upstream Tech as a leader in the climate tech space. The ideal candidate is an exceptional content creator and executor with the ability to contribute ideas and deploy strategy, and who’s eager to be involved in a broad range of responsibilities and workstreams as we grow our organization.
The day-to-day experience of this role involves crafting stories and developing content that engages and informs our target audiences. You will create and deploy short- and long-form content across multiple marketing channels to showcase our products, and support visual content production as-needed. The role will also be responsible for assisting with social media management and production.
This role will collaborate with a variety of stakeholders to develop content aligned with Upstream Tech's brand mission and will be responsible for delivering content that engages our target audiences and helps increase brand favorability across multiple channels. The candidate will work closely with the marketing manager to assess performance and adjust strategy.
The right candidate is an engaging and creative storyteller who is eager to inspire our target audiences. Prior experience with content marketing and social media management is required. This is a writing-focused role; however, an ideal candidate will have experience producing visual content as well. Experience with Adobe Photoshop and video editing software is a plus.
Produce high-quality content that meets marketing goals. This may include but is not limited to white papers, case studies, blog posts, social content, press releases, and reports.
Work with the marketing manager to develop content strategy and execute campaigns to drive engagement with new marketing materials.
Assist with social media management including producing written and visual content, posting, and engaging with social audiences.
Work with the product and business development teams to develop content that meets audience needs and provide materials to support the sales cycle.
Ensure that all communications adhere to brand and communications standards and are written in a consistent voice.
Keep up with current industry trends and topics to ensure effective communications.
Support other marketing team needs as they arise, such as conference strategy & execution and supporting PR and media requests.
Undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., communications, marketing, business, environmental management).
Experience in SaaS marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
An eye for both newsworthy angles and commercially targeted content.
Experience tracking content engagement goals and benchmarking performance against these goals.
Great time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Experience producing social media content for a B2B or SaaS audience.
Experience with or enthusiasm to learn basic video editing and graphic design.
2-5 years work experience in a relevant field. We are open to strong candidates at different stages of career progression.
Located in a United States time zone and comfortable working on a fully remote team.
