We are seeking a Manufacturing Operations Program Manager to support the manufacturing and engineering teams. This position offers a great opportunity to help set up our large-scale manufacturing operations.
You will be based in our office in San Carlos, CA, and report to our SVP Operations.
Lead/support planning and implementation of new manufacturing Gigafactory for our state-of-the-art electrolyzer systems. This requires organization and integration of activities across R&D, our manufacturing site and internal teams across two coasts.
Help and drive site selection for Electric Hydrogen. Help drive facilities requirement. Coordinate and be a point person to help layout production facility.
Manage construction and facility upgrades working with subcontractors.
Identify operational pain points and opportunities to improve business practices and drive internal process improvements.
Drive continual improvement of systems and data workflows, dependency mapping, overall process and manufacturing phase gate criteria and validation.
Manage cross-functional programs covering a range of technical domains (supplier engineering, Quality engineering, Test Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering) from concept through to completion
Drive solutions to complex problems: develop clear problem statements, project requirements, milestone schedules, and documentation to support decision-making and facilitate implementation
Manage dependencies and handoffs effectively and optimize schedules accordingly
Travel to the manufacturing site to cover construction and facilitation. This requires organization and integration of activities across R&D, our manufacturing site (location being determined), and internal teams across two coasts.
8+ years of experience in Technical, Engineering or Manufacturing Program/Project Management
Bachelor's degree in Computer Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Component Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent job experience
Experience leading Scrum and Agile project management methodologies on Manufacturing systems & tools, such as MES, SFC, System Test Framework, QMS, or Data Analytic tools
Experience identifying problem statements and structuring into a program with clear and measurable goals and milestones
Experience developing and maintaining a comprehensive project plan, scope, timelines and budget
Experience executing and managing through obstacles and ambiguity
Stakeholder Influence and Strategy: Experience establishing partnerships with stakeholders to define and drive aggressive timelines, roadmaps and direction
Knowledge of Hardware Product lifecycle - Proof of Concept, Design Validation, Engineering Validation, Process/Product Validation, Pilots and Mass Production execution to end-of-life
Bachelor's degree in a directly related field, or equivalent practical experience
