Job Description

Electric Hydrogen’s mission is to create an abundant and decarbonized material future. Our outstanding people are our most important asset and will allow us to deliver hydrogen from renewable electrolysis for heavy industry, at prices below fossil fuels. 

In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing the deployment of Electric Hydrogen's first-of-a-kind electrolyzer.

You will use your project engineering and management skills to help ensure that this groundbreaking green hydrogen plant comes together smoothly. You will be based in our office in San Carlos, CA with allowable hybrid work schedule. Depending on the phase of the project, 25-50% of your on-site time would be best spent with boots on the ground at the project site <1 hour away from here. You will report to the Director of Systems (Plant Engineering).

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collaborate with plant engineering team, facilities team, the city, and outside contractors
  • Build, track, and communicate a Gantt chart project schedule
  • Proactively identify schedule, cost, and technical risk items, then help identify solutions
  • Provide detailed design feedback to the plant engineering team
  • Understand constraints and propose plant layouts that meet them
  • Coordinate and oversee the factory and site acceptance testing of equipment
  • Ensure permitting documentation is produced, organized, and provided as needed

PRIOR EXPERIENCE AND PROFESSIONAL QUALITIES

  • Engineering Degree or sufficient Technical Project Experience
  • 3+ years project engineering or project management (ideally with multidisciplinary projects)
  • Taken at least one significant technical project through the full lifecycle from concept to completion
  • Experience working with outside vendors, contractors, and officials
  • Maintain focus on big picture goals while handling the details
  • Able to provide thoughtful, constructive, actionable feedback to engineers
  • Ability to thrive in an environment with open-ended questions
  • Eagerness to seek better solutions, asking fundamental questions
  • Startup experience preferred
