About the Role:  

We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who is proactive, passionate, and excited to be a part of the future of Planet. You will drive forecasting and planning activities, own financial reporting, build and enhance financial models, and provide decision support. As a member of the Finance team, you will work cross-functionally with the business and help support the overall company strategy. Due to the high-growth nature of our business, the duties and responsibilities of this position will evolve over time, so we are looking for someone who has the drive and desire to grow with the position.

Impact You’ll Own:

  • Support with annual planning, reporting, and analysis for the Space Systems team
  • Manage satellite projects throughout the program lifecycle - from R&D to production
  • Analyze trends and perform variances analysis to ensure accuracy, insight, and appropriate cost controls for leadership
  • Create and enhance existing financial models
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business partners to understand underlying business drivers
  • Support, drive, and implement process improvements to streamline business processes
  • Work closely with the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial closes 
  • Ad hoc financial modeling and analysis

What You Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or other quantitative major.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in a financial, accounting or consulting role.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting, including accounting operations, processes, risks and controls.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills with a focus on execution and delivering high quality results.
  • Ability to build effective business partnerships and be a key collaborator.
  • Excellent financial modeling with proven experience in creating, building, and communicating robust models. 
  • Self-starter who can juggle multiple projects, has a passion for technology, and also has a proven track record of adding value to the team.
  • Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity in a constantly evolving environment.
