Vice President, People & Culture (Remote Eligible)

We’re looking for a Vice President, People and Culture to lead the vision, strategy, development, and execution of our human resources, talent, and culture management strategy and initiatives. You will partner with the executive team and key stakeholders to ensure the advancement of an empowered, diverse and mission-driven team, and actively plan for future talent and culture needs. You are equally comfortable engaging at a strategic level while rolling up your sleeves to get the job done. This is a new role at a fast-growing company, affording you the opportunity to directly impact the success and growth of the business. Overall compensation (base salary + discretionary bonus or commission if sales) for this role will be provided commensurate with years of experience and qualifications within the following range: $170,000 - $215,000 plus health and wellness benefits.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute GreenBiz Group’s people and culture strategy, with a focus on building a high-performing team that supports our mission and business goals
• Lead and implement learning strategies, development programs, and annual performance management processes to support the growth and advancement of our employees
• Create a culture of feedback, both as part of the performance management process, and by facilitating healthy, consistent  employee communications and team interactions
• Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy, including developing and executing programs in support of a diverse, empowered, and engaged workforce
• Develop talent recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies with a focus on attracting and maintaining a diverse team, with the support of the Talent Acquisition Partner
• Provide active, intentional leadership to the staff and executive team; deliver timely and constructive feedback; monitor the accomplishment of the team and individual goals and objectives; provide mentoring and coaching; foster an environment of continuous learning and improvement
• Develop strategies and communications aimed at maintaining a healthy workplace environment that supports collaboration, employee engagement, open communication, and a healthy work/life balance 
• Develop a competitive compensation plan that aligns with our business goals and best practices of peer organizations
• Serve as a human resources subject matter expert and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local employment laws
• Manage, administer and continually evaluate employee benefits programs in collaboration with support staff. 
• Develop and implement talent management, recruitment, and HR software solutions 

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of human resources experience in a high-growth environment
• Demonstrated experience providing strategic human resources leadership to management and staff at all levels in support of the organization’s mission
• Experience building high-performing teams and scaling organizations
• Demonstration of critical thinking skills and the use of data and analytics in strategic decision making 
• Well-developed and highly effective listening, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization
• Experience developing and executing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
• Well-developed mentoring, coaching, and facilitation skills
• Compliance experience with federal, state, and local employment laws
• Experience using people operations software tools (Zenefits and JazzHR preferred)
