Location: London, Bristol, Edinburgh, Lisbon (Hybrid Remote Working)
Part Time Available: Yes
Salary: £65,000-£115,000

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working? 

You’ll be joining the Agile Delivery Management function as a Lead Agile Delivery Manager with line management responsibilities, reporting to the Head of Agile.  We are a small, collaborative team working in an organisation that is growing with around 40 teams at present.  Agile Delivery Managers partner very closely with the Agile Coaches in the company, forming a strong community interest who look to improve ways of working across the company.  We collectively look to improve the operating system of Kaluza.

What will I be doing?

As  Lead Agile Delivery Manager at Kaluza, you will be part of our Platform Foundation Sphere.  Platform Foundations focus on providing  a reliable set of services, engineering practices, governance and developer tooling that allow the platform to scale. You will be responsible for line management of a number of Agile Delivery Managers, helping them develop in their careers and for the delivery of strategic objectives working closely with our empowered product teams

The types of problems we are looking for you to solve and lead on could be: 

  • How to coordinate change across a large number of teams (30+)
  • How to manage and reduce friction from dependencies
  • How to visualise progress and risks
  • How to ensure there is a good ratio of effort:value from planning across Platform Foundations.
  • How to navigate complexity & uncertainty
  • How to improve the ways of working across the Platform Foundation Sphere as an entity and the underlying teams that form it.
  • Taking services and initiatives from inception to launch on the simplest, most repeatable path

Is this the job for me? 

Ideally you will have/be...

  • An experienced agile delivery manager with experience in end to end delivery of digital / technology products using Agile Methodologies/frameworks
  • Experience with DevOps approaches
  • Have experience of line managing and developing people
  • Experience of end to end delivery involving a large number of teams.
  • Experience of working and solving ‘team of team’ level problems
  • Experience of overcoming challenges with a company that is scaling fast
  • Comfortable with uncertainty
  • Not anchored to any one method/tool/knowledge area/approach, but can draw on experience to use the right approach in the right context
  • Able to create strong relationships with people at different levels across the org.
  • Who can bring people along on a change journey
  • Comfortable at working at a highly detailed and strategic level whilst organising, planning and communicating work
  • A natural “servant leader”, a person who people go to to help solve problems.
