Job title: Product Lead - Billing Foundations

Location: London/Bristol/Edinburgh/Lisbon  (including hybrid)

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You’ll be joining the Kaluza Product community. We’re a group of Product Managers and Leaders focused on translating complex needs into simple and innovative solutions that solve real customer and business problems.

You’ll be working on the Kaluza’s Energy Retail platform. This is a SaaS technology platform that aims to revolutionise the operating platforms for energy retailers globally. This platform has been built with scale and technical quality in mind and is the foundation for decarbonisation efforts by Kaluza’s customers. 

We are in the process of transforming the platform's architecture to create global “spinnable” environments, this is to support rapid onboarding of multiple clients and allow Kaluza to adapt to an ever changing energy landscape.

Working with your product and engineering colleagues, you will be responsible for developing and implementing clear strategies and coaching teams to translate complex needs into simple and innovative solutions that solve real customer and business problems. You’ll be passionate about developing operational excellence in the squad, bringing out the best in others, improving ways of working, fostering a strong product culture, and creating a high-performing cross-functional team. As part of the leadership team, you’ll provide peer support and challenge, lead on key initiatives, and make decisions as a group that impact the product as a whole. Finally, you’ll relish getting your hands dirty and excelling in a player-coach role where you can take a high level approach as well as digging into the detail.

 

What will I be doing?

As Product Lead for the Billing Foundations squad, you’ll be working with our product teams that across a wide variety of areas, including

  • Payments
  • Statementing
  • The customer and account entities
  • Collections
  • Kaluza’s multi-product offering
  • Customers’ account ledger

You’ll be defining what great looks like for our clients and their customers. You’ll combine your knowledge of best practices and a curiosity to push the boundaries to help Kaluza build the right thing first time in the short term, and build out our vision of how to be a market leading billing solution.

 

Is this the job for me?

Ideally, you will

  • Have excellent product experience both hand on and leading teams
  • Be able to work collaboratively to define and work towards an end vision, while also being able to dive into the detail and work with engineers on detailed problems
  • Be comfortable working with data and data oriented products
  • Be a self-starter, identify and deliver on value for clients
  • Have a pragmatic and agile approach to product development
  • You care about delivering value quickly to our customers and use lean, iterative methods to get there
  • Have a never-ending desire to grow and learn
