Salary: £57,500 - £77,500

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You’ll be joining Kaluza’s technology organisation as we work to expand beyond our 4 million end users in the UK by deploying our first Australian offering. We are a large team working alongside product managers. We’re pushing the boundaries of technology, working at an extraordinary scale. As a collective we strive for product greatness and ensuring we deliver excellent value to our customers.

What will I be doing?

We’re looking for an experienced software tester who is at home in an Agile environment, being embedded in a product development team, who has an inquisitive nature and desire to dig into the unknowns of the software.

You have a deep understanding of various testing approaches, especially tool-assisted exploratory testing. You are also comfortable with your skills and experience in testing continuously throughout the SDLC – testing the ideas for new features just as much as testing the designs, the code and the software itself, using a risk-based mindset for structuring your testing and technical skills to test at all layers of the application. And you feel comfortable talking about these testing activities too.

• You have a drive for building products with outstanding levels of quality, and work to embed appropriate quality practices to ensure this occurs
• You believe strongly in test automation where it makes sense, continuous delivery and working with the best agile practices
• You believe in the value of exploratory testing and the place it has in an agile development environment

What experience you'll need:

• You’re an excellent software quality manager, with experience in building and running successful teams of testers
• You have proven experience of creating and delivering test strategies for complex software systems
• You know how to embed appropriate testing practices across a distributed engineering organisation, coaching testers to empower delivery teams to own the quality of their products
• You have extensive experience in representing quality in an Agile environment and coaching a test-first mentality into delivery teams
• You have experience using exploratory testing to iterate and find problems quickly as well as providing effective reporting across an organisation
