Job Description

Brilliant Planet is seeking a Financial Planning and Analysis Manager looking to take ownership of the management accounting function within an exciting and world changing business. This is an opportunity to establish yourself in a company from the beginning and to influence the framework to be applied now with the growth ambitions of the company taken into consideration.

It will be critical as we grow that the candidate identifies KPIs and reports that support and drive our decision-making processes. This role will involve a high level of autonomy but will also need someone prepared to get engaged with the transactional detail.

Cash management and prior experience is vital to track and forecast with a level of accuracy that anticipates the needs of the business and supports financial sustainability.

We will expect that you generate ideas and provide solutions to constantly improve our working practices. Opinion is valued and excellence is rewarded.

Responsibilities include:

  • Liaising with operational management to build forecasts at Cost Centre Level.
  • Interaction with Finance team to share cash flow predictions and follow up with actual tracking.
  • Confirming the cost forecasts of the project and research environments.
  • Preparing the Budget.
  • Monthly Actual tracking.
  • Coaching not finance colleagues with the view to continuously improve the added value from the data collected.
  • Adhoc analysis to identify Risks and Opportunities

Requirements

  • Degree level preferable but person qualified by experience will not be over looked.
  • FPA, Senior Management Accountant or Financial Analysis backgrounds
  • Adaptability to/from other ERPs would be beneficial
  • Having supported ERP and Chart of Accounts implementations would be ideal.
  • Knowledge of M365 Dynamics would be beneficial
  • Must be detail oriented and like to plan activities
