In this role you’ll be leading sales for software product Overyield as well as farm services. Overyield makes it easy for farms to transition acreage to agroforestry. Our platform provides access to agronomic insights, technical assistance, and financing so that farms can reduce risk while integrating fruit, nut and timber trees with animal or crop farming systems. We are looking for a hard-working Sales Manager to deliver scalable and repeatable sales strategies for the company. This new role focuses on customer acquisition and sales support. You'll work closely with our VP of Sales, Farm Services, Sales Consultant, and Recruiter. This is a new role.
Definitive sales executive experience, meeting or exceeding targets, and ability to close business and build markets in agriculture.
Previous experience in a similar senior-level position on a sales team (as a Senior Sales Executive, Senior Sales Manager or Sales and/or Marketing Director).
Keen business sense, with the ability to find creative business-oriented solutions to problems.
Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills as well as mentoring, coaching and people management skills, across all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level.
Strong sense of honesty, high ethical standards, reliability, and trustworthiness; holding yourself mutually accountable with the team.
Digital literacy and proficiency in spreadsheet and CRM software is critical.
Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license along with a clean driving record and must be willing to travel as needed or required.
Partner with our VP of Sales and Sales Development Representatives to grow top-line revenue while maintaining margin and profitability, and conversion expectations.
Lead, coach, and train Sales Development Representatives to meet annual sales targets within assigned territory and accounts.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply & demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Build customer relationships by understanding their needs and objectives while working closely with teammates on requisite sales & marketing opportunities.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and establishing personal networks.
Establish tracking and reporting methods using Salesforce to better report on sales cycle time, pipeline velocity, win rates, CAC, ARR, CLV, upsells and renewals, customer churn and forecasting
Define our Revenue Operations playbook by building processes to drive operations management, enablement, insights and analytics, tech implementation, vendor management, and compliance as it relates to our sales and marketing organizations
Represent the company at trade shows and key business functions in a professional manner to generate prospects, and grow revenue opportunities.
Experience training, mentoring and coaching a small team (3+ people) of Sales Development Representatives
4 years working in software sales (2 of those years in a lead/manager role)
SaaS sales experience in a closing role (Account Executive)
Experience with revenue operations, creating processes and playbooks

BS/BA degree in business, marketing, agricultural industry or related field preferred.
4+ years of sales experience in the agriculture space.
Knowledge of permanent crops and/or regenerative agriculture is a plus.
Bilingual or trilingual skills are a strong plus.
