Job Description

About the role

This role is within the Utility Solutions organization whose mission is to delight utility clients by delivering exceptional results for their EV programs. In this role, you will primarily be focused on managing the account relationships, business outcomes and successful growth of EV programs for our utility customers. This role may also include supporting a wide variety of strategic business, product, and operational initiatives. 

Tasks may include: 

  • Primary: Own successful implementation and growth of programs with enterprise clients
    • Become the voice of the customer internally and clearly articulate client priorities to internal team
    • Manage client expectations with regards to features, products, and services
    • Coordinate with internal and external team to roll-out new features and offerings
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for contracted and ongoing client programs 
    • Proactively measure business results, share insights, and adapt ongoing work as a client advisor dedicated to program outcomes
    • Balance internal and external needs, keeping all stakeholders aligned on a successful outcome as the ‘CEO’ of your client programs
    • Create project plans and execute against the plan with clients and internal teams
  • Secondary: Support new business development with existing enterprise clients via relationships, a deep understanding of the clients needs, timelines and organizational processes, and proactively identifying areas where WeaveGrid could help
    • Engage clients to build joint program growth roadmaps, lead workshops, and support consensus building across client stakeholders
    • Support contract extensions and expansions to expand volume of active programs
    • Collect current and future requirements from clients and coordinate with product, engineering, and data science teams to assess value, feasibility, and schedule
    • Support various sales objectives as defined by company OKRs 
  • Tertiary: Other duties as assigned
    • Assist with configuration and testing of designed software solutions
    • Provide utility customer training and support
    • Additional assignments could include internal process creation, business analytics, sales support for prospective clients, or other opportunities
    • Special projects and other duties as designated by your manager or assigned designee

About you

  • You are experienced at managing large, enterprise clients and building ongoing business relationships with a clear focus on the highest impact opportunities
  • You are known for excellent prioritization and project management skills - including building project plans, identifying critical paths, and providing visibility to all stakeholders on status
  • You have worked in fluid and fast-paced environments, whether in startups, industry consulting or elsewhere. In particular, you are flexible enough to take on the most urgent tasks as they arise.
  • You expect to work with people of different backgrounds and areas of expertise on a daily basis and can effortlessly switch context between technical, non-technical and executive audiences
  • You have an insatiable appetite for learning and motivation to become the expert - on products, clients, and industry trends
  • You are attentive to detail and are practiced at translating client needs into clear internal asks

Requirements

  • 5+ years of full-time experience working in client solutions or account management
    • 2+ years working for or with electric utilities
  • Experience managing high value enterprise contracts and customers with multiple stakeholders externally and internally
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to translate for diverse set of stakeholders
  • Flexibility and willingness to take on a variety of tasks in response to immediate needs 
  • Proficiency in modern software tools (Gsuite, MS Office, Atlassian, Figma, CRMs, etc.)

Preferred

  • Advanced degree in business, engineering or analytical sciences 
  • Located in Eastern (or Central) time zone
  • Domain expertise in one or several of the following areas: 
    • Electric mobility 
    • Power systems 
    • Demand Response
    • Enterprise software systems 
  • Experience working with Utilities on customer-facing programs
  • Experience in IT implementation best practices
  • Experience in enterprise cloud software architecture and security

The total compensation for this opportunity includes a base salary range of $81,000-$177,000 plus equity (stock options) and benefits. This is our target compensation range and is subject to multiple factors including role, level, experience, and location. As you go through our interview process, our recruiter will work with you to identify a competitive base salary within the proposed range and combine it with an equity package to get you excited about your future at WeaveGrid.
