Job Description

Does working for a fast paced, growing company that is making a difference in our environment excite you? Do you have a passion for making our environment better for this generation and the ones that follow? Let’s make a difference together. Join our team!

Nexamp is looking for an outstanding Digital Storyteller who can expertly leverage knowledge and skills in motion design and cinematography to tell compelling visual stories — coming to life through video, web content and presentations. Supporting the priorities of Nexamp, the storyteller plays a critical role in telling our story and deepening engagement with our mission, vision and values through compelling content.

  • Help Nexamp amplify the way that we tell our story in a way that informs and engages target audiences
  • Be part of a small creative team and a key player in rolling out a brand refresh
  • Develop compelling stories that help define our products, people, customers and mission, working across multiple mediums, including but not limited to infographics, presentations, video, and web content
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders inside and outside the company to bring complex concepts to life in a visually engaging and easy-to-understand format, providing strategic insights on format and style
  • Establish and develop the visual language for infographics and presentations, developing reusable design tools that helps to easily and consistently amplify our stories
  • Manage the design process from start to finish, including concept development, managing feedback and prioritizing the workload on assigned projects
  • Promote strategic thinking and commercial awareness

  • Background in Motion Graphic Design/Animation or related fields
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard tools: the ability to edit video with relevant software and experience with the production of high-quality video content
  • Exceptional storyteller and a strong attention to detail
  • Strong graphic design fundamentals (i.e. typography, color theory, hierarchy, contrast, and grid / alignments)
  • A portfolio showcasing your best creative work
  • Undergraduate studies in art, visual design, communications, advertising or related creative services field
  • You are a proactive, self-motivated team player and are open to exploring new approaches and ideas
  • Strong written and verbal and presentation skills
  • The ability to deliver against tight timelines, while managing multiple work priorities
  • Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat) and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint)

If you don’t meet 100% of the above qualifications, but see yourself contributing, please submit an application.  We encourage people from minority or marginalized groups to apply.

At Nexamp, our mission is building the future of energy, so it is clean, simple, and accessible for all. We believe a diverse team brings different perspectives and experiences, thus benefiting our work. We are committed to providing a work environment free from discrimination. Not only will you get to work with a group of innovative, dedicated, and motivated peers, you will also have access to all the benefits that Nexamp offers! This includes: our competitive compensation package; a 401(k) employer-match; health, dental, & vision insurance starting day one; Flexible Paid Time Off and Holiday PTO; Commuter Benefits, Cell Phone Reimbursement; as well as a hybrid work environment, headquartered in Boston, MA with a fun, collaborative, downtown office!
