AMP Robotics is looking for a resourceful, thorough, self-motivated Strategic Finance & Operations Associate to drive strategic initiatives and special projects focused on new commercial opportunities for technology, process development, technical reliability, and performance improvements of its systems.

A successful candidate will have strong analytical experience (financial modeling and analysis), experience presenting to senior stakeholders within companies, be an out of the box thinker, great at independently solving complex tasks, adept at working cross-functionally, and will have the ability to implement new workflows that can be handed off to other teams.

This role will be within the office of the CEO and will be responsible for: 

  • Take on strategic projects that may require cross-functional support, and translate requirements or outcomes into clear, concise messages and recommendations for individual teams (and if required, external parties such as the Board of Directors)
  • Lead several projects and tasks at one time while remaining agile to respond to high priority activities and requests and communicate regularly with management on issues, constraints, and project status
  • Structure ambiguous problems facing the company and take action to resolve them through the development of new projects or the clear communication of requirements to relevant stakeholders
  • Partner with the CEO and the Chief of Staff to develop and help implement strategies for specific projects to increase revenue, improve unit economics, minimize cost, and enhance efficiency throughout the organization
  • Work closely with Finance, Product/Business Intelligence, as well as Operations and Commercial analyst teams to drive consistency in shared data across the company and help standardize the presentation and dissemination of reporting/presentations 
  • Independently performing market research into public and private market entities in the waste ecosystem, allowing AMP to understand their decision making process and priorities


  • Demonstrate a proven and ongoing ability to creatively problem solve and examine and translate data into meaningful business insights
  • Apply a relentless attention to detail in all deliverables and effectively drives projects and tasks to completion
  • Three to five years of relevant work experience; private equity, investment banking, or strategy/consulting experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic background
  • Extensive financial modeling skills and experience
  • Strong interpersonal, writing, and communication skills
  • Frequent travel as required to AMP, customer, and partner sites.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Permission to work in the United States and ability to travel globally; and
  • Impeccable integrity as well as ability to pass a comprehensive background screening.
  • ​​BA/BS degree, preferably in engineering or business, MBA or equivalent

Location: Preference for Denver/Boulder-area or San Francisco

Salary & Compensation Information: $140,000 - $160,000

Benefits Information:

  • Medical - The company covers up 85% to 100% of the premium for Cigna healthcare plans depending on the selection. Employees pay the difference in premium if they select a more expensive plan. Up to 75% for dependents.
