What we’re looking for.

At Sunrise we are set out to reimagine the grocery system from the ground up, turning one of the most destructive industries into a positive, healthy and sustainable experience.Turning a supplier centric system into a customer centric system. You, as our lead UX designer will play a pivotal role in making this happen. We are looking for a UX/UI Designer who can turn a tedious outdated experience into a smooth and fun lifestyle offering. Making healthy and sustainable living a breeze.

You have that extraordinary talent to make Sunrise the most innovative, user-intuitive, fun, and friendly user experience in the market. We’re looking for someone that’s both highly analytical and very creative, with a deep interest in human behavior and contemporary culture. Not only able to grasp user needs and solve problems meticulously, bot most of all determined and skilled enough to give shape to a better tomorrow, leaving an undeniable legacy on global consumer culture. 

Finally, you understand the health and climate emergency we are in, and you're highly motivated to use your talent to find give shape to a better tomorrow. In your everyday life, you practice what you preach. 

What will you be doing?

  • Research, strategize, design a new and significantly improved grocery experience.
    • Perform concept and usability testing and gather feedback
    • work at the intersection of the physical and digital
  • Work together with out technology team to turn disruptive technologies into opportunities for growth.
    • Discuss design ideas and prototypes with developers
  • Research consumer psychology and map out persona’s and social bridges of potential customers.
    • Research and develop , create foresight reports and anticipate future scenarios
  • Build wireframes and prototypes around (latent) customers needs.
  • Digital and User Interface design.
  • Create interaction models and evaluate their success
  • Solve everyday UX problems, such as usability or findability, using creative approach
  • Design and collaborate with UI designers to implement culturally resonating designs
  • Stay informed about competitor products and industry trends

What skills and experience do we need?

Experience. 5+ years' experience of working as a UX/UI Designer at a disruptive start or scale-up, a top tier technology company and/or design firm.

Knowledge. Deep knowledge of interaction design, information architecture and habit forming behavior. Both gained from studying the science that drives it, aswel as applying it into everyday situations.

Management. Proven trackrecord in leading multidisciplinary teams, complex projectmanagement and research.

Creative. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a business-oriented approach, able to find solutions in new and generative ways.

Impact. A deep understanding of the climate emergency we are in and a relentless motivation to help find ways to create a better tomorrow.

Education. Minimum BSc in Design, Computer Science, Engineering or other related area.
