  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototype construction and final product development by engineering teams, and maintain a prioritized list of features and capabilities
  • Create product strategy documents that describe business cases, high-level use cases, technical requirements, revenue, and ROI
  • Establish and maintain a strong partnership with colleagues in technical, customer- and partner-facing roles, serving as a bridge between commercial and technical teams.
  • Develop appropriate communications material (e.g. user guides, product briefs, presentations, collateral, etc.) in support of customer service, sales, and marketing colleagues
  • Work closely with the Chief Strategy Officer to develop and execute Product-related initiatives to grow the business
  • This role will require quarterly attendance at in-person team meetings in the San Francisco Bay Area, and additional in-person meetings or out-of-town travel as needed

Required Experience

  • 7+ years in Product Management or an equivalent level of experience
  • Proven track record of developing and executing product strategies and launching successful SaaS-based products
  • Proficient in Agile software development methodologies, with particular emphasis on the Product Owner role
  • Familiar with best practices and state-of-the-art technologies for cloud-based data exchange, IoT data integration, and cyber security
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to collaborate across functional and disciplinary boundaries
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to quickly translate long-term strategy into short-term action

Preferred Experience

  • Master’s degree in product design or engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Prior software, web development or electrical engineering experience
  • Experience working as a product developer in a non-managerial role
  • Substantial experience and network in the Solar, Energy Storage, Electric Vehicles, Energy Management, or Electric Power industries a big plus
