Role DescriptionWe are looking for an individual to help us expand our core technology by investigating an electroplated catalyst for a Form Energy battery component. You will work as a part of our Cell Development Team to apply electrochemical concepts learned in university to real world laboratory applications. You will be familiar with working safely in diverse laboratory environments and excited to learn a variety of analytical and electrochemical testing techniques. This position offers an exciting opportunity for an individual to apply and expand their technical skills and learn from an experienced team to directly impact the development of a breakthrough technology.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and conduct analytical methods for quantifying chemical components in solution
  • Analyze test data to evaluate and optimize catalyst performance
  • Optimize the catalyst formulation using Design of Experiment principles
  • Document methods of chemical and electrochemical testing
  • Engage with cross-functional team efforts to improve processes and testing capabilities
  • Perform cell and test instrument troubleshooting to identify opportunities for improvement

What You'll Bring:

  • Pursuing a degree in chemical engineering and/or interest in learning electrochemistry
  • Basic laboratory safety knowledge, particularly focused on handling of chemical solutions
  • Fast learner with enthusiasm for developing new technical skills
  • Familiarity with electrochemical concepts
  • Strong communication skills and organization skills
