Role DescriptionWe are looking for a Process Engineer to join our Technical Operations team in Somerville, MA. This team produces a wide range of electrode materials and prototypes that directly inform our technology and product development. You will be responsible for parts of our novel Iron Anode R&D production process. Collaborating with a diversity of teams, including engineering, supply chain, and facilities, you will focus on quality and supporting the technicians running the processes. You will design experiments to collect data and make informed decisions on process changes with our cross-functional development team. This is an exciting opportunity to improve our processing technology while doing your part to help combat climate change!

What You'll Do:

  • Become an expert user and trainer for the Iron Anode R&D production process. You will be able to train engineers as well as technicians.
  • Establish and improve statistical process control and reporting
  • Design and execution of experiments to improve quality and processes
  • Establish robust automatic data collection methods based on experiment results
  • Triage non-standard component requests for execution through our technician teams and consult our engineering teams on realizing their special experimental requests

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Material, Metallurgical Engineering or similar engineering degree
  • 2+ years of process engineering experience
  • Hands-on experience in a chemical or material R&D lab or production environment
  • Knowledge of experiment design and statistical thinking for industrial problem solving
  • Ability to clearly communicate with cross-functional teams, verbally, in writing, and through data
