Finance Manager

Position

King Energy is looking for a Finance Manager who can put their amazing modeling skills to work in renewable energy.  If you have experience in renewable energy that’s great, but if not we still want to hear from you.  We can teach you everything you need to know about the industry.

King Energy is a well-funded, VC-backed renewable energy company that builds, owns, and operates solar infrastructure on multi-tenant properties.

We are truly a remote-first company.  We encourage occasional travel a few days a year to our headquarters in Durango, Colorado and San Luis Obispo, California; and we have two annual offsites.  But that’s it in terms of travel.

Requirements and Qualifications:

If...

• You have 3-5+ years of experience in renewable energy, private equity, investment banking, financial services, consulting, or a high growth startup
• Finance is in your blood and you love it.  You have broad experience modeling for your day job and you’re always playing with your personal portfolio at night
• You know excel shortcuts better than you know your home address
• You’re have a vision of what a great financial organization could be
• You’re sick of taking other people’s crappy spreadsheets and trying to “make it work”
• You have a college degree from major 4-year institution

The job is about more than excel modeling.  It’s about creating those models and seeing them through business implementation towards building a great company you can be proud of.

As an early member of the finance team,  you’ll …

• Influence strategy by working directly with executives across the business 
• Build financial models supporting major financial decisions in renewable energy
• Learn new transactions including project financing, tax equity, and equity financing, working directly with investors, lawyers, and consultants
• Follow through performance against plan and proactively identify weaknesses and opportunities to improve across the business
• Partner with accounting and engineering to build a financial foundation that scales

Compensation:

• Salary range for this position is $100,000-$140,000 annually
• Stock options
• Participation in company's health benefits program
• Participation in company’s 401k program
