Job Description

Gridium’s mission is to hasten the transition to a no-carbon economy. Our energy efficiency retrofit and solar projects help people run commercial buildings better, at lower cost, using less energy.

We are looking for a Building Decarbonization Project Analyst to manage development of energy efficiency and solar projects with our commercial customers. This is an entry-to-mid-level position focused on project management.

In this role, you will be responsible for shepherding projects through their various pre- and post-construction phases for Gridium. This will include:

  • Collaborating with sales and engineering teams as author of the investment grade audits and proposals we deliver to customers
  • Shepherding projects through programs at our utility partners, including working with utility and Gridium engineering teams
  • Partnering with our sales team and financing partners to produce project financial models
  • Helping guide and shape Gridium’s workflow and document sharing processes
  • Ensuring timely response to customer queries

About Gridium

Gridium is a venture-backed digital Energy Services Company and SaaS provider with a mission to bring cost-effective energy savings to commercial real estate. We are growing faster than ever due to increasing demand for real energy solutions.

We have been an all-remote company since our founding, and we love the fact that remote work gives us flexibility to balance our roles as employees, parents, family members, cyclists, trumpet players and all the other things we do with our lives.

Of course, spending time face-to-face is important, so every three months we pick a city and meet up for several days of highly productive and highly fun planning and doing. We have a casual, collaborative work environment where everyone’s ideas matter. Since creative, enthusiastic employees are the basis of our success, we take great care in how we attract, hire, and support our employees.

And of course

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Candidates must reside in the United States and have the legal right to work in the United States.

You should be self-directed, responsible, and committed to efficient delivery of well-documented projects. You should be able to make technical writing sing, and be comfortable analyzing utility, customer and engineering requirements to produce those technical documents. You should also be comfortable using and creating spreadsheets to calculate energy savings and financial projections. We need a problem solver who can ask good questions and collaborate effectively with teammates. You should have:

  • Enthusiasm for energy efficiency, buildings, and the energy transition
  • Drive to fully own the utility program submission process, including working with utility and Gridium engineers to arrive at solutions to novel questions
  • Technical writing ability, preferably already demonstrated in a similar field
  • Facility with Excel and Google Sheets to be able to build and error-check simple financial models
  • Ability to work with engineering teams to understand projects and shepherd them through various stakeholder processes
  • Ability to effectively manage your time and communicate in an all-remote environment
  • Interest in wearing multiple hats and working on a broad range of problems as a member of a small team in a fast-moving environment
  • Ability and desire to organize a team’s workflow and data cataloging
  • Bachelor's degree required

The position comes with salary ($55,000 to $75,000 per year, depending on experience), stock options, 401(k) match, a great health plan, vision, dental, generous parental leave, and a flexible vacation policy — we want you to take the time off you need so that you are happy and productive.
