Reporting to:  Director, Salesforce Implementation

Location:  Our headquarters based in San Francisco, CA, New York, NY, or remote candidates will be considered. Up to 20% Travel Required. Successful candidates will be required to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination and eligible boosters. Religious or medical-based exemptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis in accordance with applicable law.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The Salesforce Solution Architect acts as a trusted technical and process advisor who partners with stakeholders to drive their vision into malleable design solutions. You need to interact daily with internal business users and process owners to understand change requests while extracting and documenting key requirements and consult on design strategy. Upon discovery the architect must be able to refine and translate the business requirements into repeatable & scalable technical solutions. You must continuously work with both end users, subject matter experts and overall team resources to review, understand the impact and maintain the Salesforce architecture as needed. This role must work closely with all business & technical teams to ensure proper execution of enhancements. You must be hands-on, maintain daily and strategic platform tasks small and large. You should be able to read, modify and maintain any declarative development functions and be familiar with code concepts across the entire Salesforce platform with expertise.

What you will be doing at Generate Capital as the Salesforce Solution Architect 

  • Analyze processes to streamline operations, minimize costs, & enhance usability of programs
  • Lead cross functional teams across all departments to define requirements in existing & new business operations
  • Maintain & expand all automation to support fast changing business requirement for all aspects of Salesforce
  • Architect new programs, provide estimated timelines, & implement new technical projects
  • Manage the analysis of large data sets & manipulate as necessary
  • Execute maintenance of existing CRM & related infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot end user issues & act as an escalation point for other team members
  • Maintain and expand existing Salesforce architecture to continuously improve overall design patterns
  • Able to push back on predefined solutions that will not achieve long term business success and sell those designs
  • Ensure that development operations environment is optimized and inclusive of security by design
  • Collaborate closely with other architects and team resources to ensure enterprise standard are adhered
  • Demo live proof of concept designs
  • Able to translate business needs and pair them with Salesforce tools, features, and new solutions accordingly

 

Candidate qualifications & core characteristics:

  • A demonstrated passion for, and commitment to, our mission
  • 6+ years’ experience as a Senior Salesforce Administrator, or as a Salesforce Developer or 3 years as a Solution Architect, with demonstrated experience managing complex enterprise projects
  • Firm understanding of Software Development Life Cycle protocols
  • A detail-oriented mindset with solid organization skills and analytical reasoning
  • Proficient in data modeling, creating entity relationship diagrams, and business process diagrams
  • Experience implementing CRM, and PRMs & integrations across them
  • Proficient with Salesforce flows, process builder, validation rules, custom metadata
  • Proficient with Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud
  • Proficient with building and modifying custom apps
  • Experience training cross departmental users
  • Proficient at writing Business Requirements Documents
  • Firm ability to analyze & problem solve complex business processes, and sell design solutions to the business
  • Firm technical understanding of integration operation best practices, including but not limited to addressing user feedback and setting proper user expectations
  • Unimpeachable integrity and glowing references
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, including empathy, intuition, and listening as well as strong writing, editing, and basic design skills.
  • High level of self-awareness and humility, with excitement about confronting uncomfortable situations or new challenges
