Job Description
Rondo Energy is a rapidly growing clean energy start-up, deploying high-performance, low-cost, zero-carbon heat batteries to enable greater penetration of renewable energy to decarbonize emissions-intensive industrial processes that account for nearly 25% of global carbon emissions. The Rondo Heat Batteries (RHBs) provide high-temperature, continuous heat charged from intermittent power safely, reliably, and at a cost point that is lower than status quo fossil-fired heat and any other low- or zero-carbon method.
Rondo Energy needs to add a Contracts Attorney to our growing legal team, reporting to the General Counsel and supporting a broad range of company transactions to enable the business to grow and prosper.
Responsibilities
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various commercial contracts and agreements, both U.S. and international.
- Providing accurate, relevant, and timely advice to your employer and other members of staff on a variety of legal topics that relate to manufacturing agreements, cooperation agreements, energy-related projects and Rondo Energy products and services.
- Promoting legal, compliance, and risk management best practices throughout the company.
- Communicating with and managing any third-party bodies such as outside counsel and government entities.
- Designing and delivering legal policies and guidance to Rondo in-house business clients.
- Liaising with senior members of staff.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctorate
- Admission to practice law in California or Washington State
- 3-10 years of experience practicing transactional law
- Excellent English
- High attention to detail
- Highly organized
- Ability to manage multiple transactional documents in parallel, meeting practical and legal deadlines on an ongoing basis
- Comfortable in fast-moving start-up setting
Compensation: $120,000-200,000 base salary plus benefits (based on experience)
