Job title: Director / VP of Marketing & Sustainability

Location: London

Salary: £140,000 - £160,000 (GBP)

The work we do will enable our society to meet the challenge of bringing electric vehicles and connected homes to market, and we’re doing that by building unique technology to enable market-leading customer propositions like Vehicle to Grid and Drive Anytime Energy Plan through our energy retailer partners.

Where in the world of Kaluza will I be working?

You’ll be joining the Go-To-Market area of Kaluza. We are a small yet growing team of experts who are responsible for making sure we have an attractive, clear, and accessible proposition for both our B2B and B2C customers. 


What will I be doing?

You will lead all aspects of the following teams: Product Marketing, Regulatory & Policy, Sustainability, Demand Generation and Brand. Together, you will be expected to build a qualified pipeline, shape the go-to-market strategy and be the eyes and ears in the market. You’ll be collaborating closely with key internal partners within Product Management to provide valuable market intelligence. As a senior leader, you’ll be playing an important role as part of our leadership team in Kaluza, shaping the culture and developing successful teams. 

You will take a leading role in our global go-to-market efforts in North America, Europe and Asia including the positioning, packaging, pricing, and sales enablement efforts.  Additionally, you will be building the marketing engine that includes digital marketing, field marketing, PR, and brand. You’ll be supporting the business development teams to accelerate opportunities with Energy Services and Partners.

Some example activities include;

  • Positioning, Packaging, and Pricing of our Solutions
  • Core Sales Content for our Solutions and Platform
  • Building a digital and field engine to qualify leads and increase brand awareness
  • Shaping Regulatory and Policy efforts to support decarbonization of our planet and success for Kaluza  

 

You’re the right person for us if:

  • You are passionate about energy transition, Net Zero and innovation in energy
  • You have an excellent track record and proven experience in Marketing, including Product Marketing and Demand Generation. 
  • You have a commercial and entrepreneurial attitude, with the ability to link marketing activities to overall business outcomes. 
  • You have the ability (or proven experience) to represent Kaluza’s sustainability efforts and interests across a multitude of internal and external forums. 
  • You have proven experience in building, coaching, and inspiring a world-class, diverse marketing team, ideally across multiple time zones. 
  • You are an open communicator and collaborator.
  • You are someone who shares knowledge and learns without prompting.  
  • You have a start-up mentality and ability to self-organise
  • You have the ability to see long and short term opportunities, whilst thinking tactically and strategically
  • You are passionate about working in a dynamic environment and responding to change
  • You have high emotional intelligence and ability to empathise and work through differing opinions 
  • You know your strengths, yet recognise there’s always more to learn from others. 

Desirable Knowledge and skills

  • Have worked or currently work within energy sector
  • Experience in Enterprise SaaS 
  • Working with C-Suite and Management levels
  • Understanding of the energy industry and the energy transition
  • Brand and PR experience
