Job Description

Redaptive is looking for a self-motivated, passionate, and collaborative Senior Energy Analyst to work closely with our growing team based in the US & India. The Senior Energy Analyst will collaborate with multiple teams such as the Customer Experience, Technical Solution Engineering, Data Science, Product Team, Business Intelligence and Business Development teams. We are looking for someone who is thrives in a fast-paced environment, can make the “gray area” his/her ally, and leverage his/her judgement to make decisions and display empathy and resilience. Redaptive is an energy management and technology company introducing the concept of EaaS (Efficiency-as-a Service) and IoP (The Internet of Power) to the world. By successfully deploying energy savings projects with inhouse metering technology, we are not only saving our customers millions of dollars, but we are being also good to the environment with highly efficient spaces.

Job Responsibilities

  •  Understanding and analyzing the data from: - Energy meters - Site audit reports/ Utility bills (energy use baselining/benchmarking) - Equipment specifications - As-built Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Drawings
  • Understand and interpret operation/health status of HVAC-R equipment from different electrical parameters, international HVAC/Indoor Thermal Comfort/Energy Efficiency standards (e.g., ASHRAE 90.1 and ASHRAE 55).
  • Diagnose HVAC and building system performance issues using interval KW data (asset level and whole building level data).
  • Develop strategies to build analytics around system performance.
  • Develop and perform energy use/savings calculations on common building systems and other building efficiency-related measures including Roof Top Units (RTUs), Air handling units (AHUs), Heat Pumps, Boilers, Chillers, etc.
  • Consult with internal customers to develop analyses and Power Point presentations, which lead to actionable insights.
  • Typical working hours will be 11:30 AM – 8:30 PM IST to provide requisite overlap with our US counterparts. 

Job Responsibilities / Qualifications

  • Bachelors in an engineering field (preferably Mechanical/Industrial engineering), but other technical areas of study considered with strong experience.
  • Experience (3-5 years) in Building Energy Efficiency/Facility Optimization/Energy Management Systems.
  • Understand and analyze different industrial equipment (e.g., air compressor, battery charger, conveyor etc.) and their operation.
  • Application of basic electrical parameters i.e., power quality, harmonics, power factor, etc.
  • Must be comfortable handling and organizing large quantities of information.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and mathematics.
  • Fluent in English. 

  • Must Have Skills:
  •  Bachelors in an engineering field (preferably Mechanical/Industrial engineering), but other technical areas of study considered with strong experience.
  • Experience (3-5 years) in Building Energy Efficiency/Facility Optimization/Energy Management Systems.
  • Understand and analyze different industrial equipment (e.g., air compressor, battery charger, conveyor etc.) and their operation.
  • Application of basic electrical parameters i.e., power quality, harmonics, power factor, etc.
  • Must be comfortable handling and organizing large quantities of information.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office and mathematics.

  • Nice to Have Skills:
  •  Masters in Building Energy Efficiency/Energy Management/Sustainability will be an added advantage.
  • Experience with HVAC and Lighting energy optimization techniques is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Python or Tableau is an added advantage. o Basic understanding of IPMVP based M&V methodology.
  • Utility data analysis.
  • Experience/exposure with scalable platforms for enterprise energy analytics dashboard.
  • Relevant certifications like CEM/CMVP would be an added advantage
