Position: SharePoint O365 Administrator

Preferred location: Remote 

The IT department supports Pivot Bio and its employees by addressing day to day technical needs, spearheading company initiatives and formulating sophisticated solutions to complex business problems. As internal teams within Pivot continue to grow and expand, we expect that it will become increasingly important for us to expand the capabilities that we offer in regard to technical services and support.  

We are looking for a SharePoint Administrator to join the IT team and work in our IT Engineering team when it comes 

Responsibilities: 

  • Management of SharePoint; performing SharePoint design, administration, support, reporting, troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint issues 
  • Create and lead new hire SharePoint Training 
  • Implement best practices in planning, design, setup, and installation of SharePoint environments  
  • Management of Office 365, OneDrive, and Azure AD 
  • Participate in planning and implementing Cybersecurity processes and procedures 
  • Creating SOPs and other necessary technical documentation  
  • Participate in planning and implementing Disaster Recovery processes and procedures 
  • Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues 
  • Travel no more than 20%, normally much less 
  • Willing to learn new tools based on the need 
  • Additional duties as needed 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Expert SharePoint Administrator with 4+ years of experience 
  • 6+ years of experience in technical administration roles 
  • Excellent communicator who can quickly connect with a range of stakeholders from academics to industry scientists, to project leads.  
  • Strong scripting abilities with a focus on PowerShell 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Licensing at an Enterprise level 
  • High standards for customer-facing work.  
  • Experience as a technical leader on technical projects which span several months & cross-functional teams.  
  • Valid driver’s license 
  • Experience working in a growing startup environment preferred.  
  • Background or interest in agriculture and/or plant-microbe interactions, preferably in an industry setting, preferred

Hiring Compensation Range: $96,000 - $120,000


All remote positions and those not located in our Berkley, Hayward or Boston locations are paid based on National Benchmark data.  Following employment, growth beyond the hiring range is possible based on performance.
